Hi everyone!!! It’s been awhile!! Hope y’all are great!
The Joplin tornadoes are what sparked For Our Furry Friends.
A tragic event resulted in something wonderful. Who misses the annual kickball tournament?!
Should it be resurrected?! Tell me!

On the afternoon of May 22, 2011, all of the ingredients came together for a deadly EF5 tornado that forever changed Joplin, Missouri.

Now, the storm is the subject of a Netflix documentary. https://bit.ly/4j18HGr

This is incredible!!! Way to go KC!! ❤️🐾❤️

All the gals at Furry Kids Refuge were very appreciative to receive the proceeds from the tourney! They said they will use the donation for vet bills.

Today Natalie with For Our Furry Friends brought us the proceeds from the Kickball Tournament that was held last weekend. This wonderful group raised $3919.00 for our Furry Kids'. THANK YOU!!!

Without the collaboration of Jessica Rupp and Rachel Lasater, this event would have never been born! You girls are amazing!!! Without help this year from Sarah Sheckells, Renda Duncan, Michelle Blumer, Patti Kanatzar, Scott Underwood, Scott Iverson, and Sydni Spires operations would have been nonexistent. Thank you all so much!!! Last but definitely not least, thank you to Matt Scott for the physical labor loading and unloading and loading and unloading again!!!!

Yesterday totally solidified that there are some amazing people in this world, specifically those who were involved yesterday in one way or another. Together we raised $3,919.00 for Furry Kids' Refuge.(Not too shabby considering participation was down 37%.) Although this is most likely the last year for this event, please do not stop donating to your local animal rescues. They work hard and need your continued support whether it be monetary donations, donating things on their wishlist, or fostering. Thanks for the past 6 years everyone....many memories have been made.
