✨ Looking for the perfect home for Lincoln✨

Looking to place a sweet, almost 2-year-old Australian Shepherd who is ready to start his next chapter!

Linc is a UKC Champion, but he’s decided the show ring just isn’t his thing. Instead, he’s looking for a family where he can shine as a beloved pet or possibly in performance dog, though he hasn’t been started in anything, just eager to please and drivey.

🐾 Age: 2 years old 10/23
🐾 Breed: Australian Shepherd
🐾 Temperament: Loving, smart, active
🐾 Placement: Pet or performance home only (not available for breeding)

He’ll thrive with someone who understands the energy and heart of this amazing breed. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent companion (and maybe a teammate for dog sports), he might just be the one.

📩 Message me if you’d like more details about giving this special boy the forever 🏡 he deserves!

Got a dog with a nose for adventure?
Let them put that sniffing talent to work with Nosework/Scent Work or Barn Hunt—fun and rewarding activities for dogs of all breeds and backgrounds!

Nosework / Scent Work - Dogs have an amazing sense of smell, and these sports let them show it off!

In United Kennel Club’s Nosework, dogs search for specific scents like birch, anise, clove, and myrrh in different environments.

American Kennel Club’s Scent Work offers a similar challenge, with titles awarded through the American Kennel Club. You can even start with your first virtual scentwork title in the comfort of your own home! https://www.akc.org/sports/akc-scent-work/virtual-scent-work-test-vswt/

Both build confidence, focus, and teamwork—perfect for dogs who love to sniff!

Barn Hunt
Inspired by traditional farm work, Barn Hunt is a fast-growing sport where dogs search for safely contained rats hidden among hay bales. 🐀

-Open to all breeds, including mixed breeds
-Titles earned through the Barn Hunt Association (BHA)
-Recognized by the UKC and AKC, meaning dogs can earn UKC and/or AKC Barn Hunt titles!
-It’s a thrilling way to satisfy your dog’s natural instincts in a safe, controlled environment!

What Is Weight Pull?
Weight pull is a dog sport where dogs pull a cart or sled loaded with weights over a short distance—typically 16 feet—within a set time. It’s a fantastic way to build physical strength, mental focus, and deepen the bond between dog and handler.

Who Hosts Weight Pull Events?
You’ll find weight pull competitions held by several organizations, including but not limited to:
UKC (United Kennel Club)
ADBA (American Dog Breeders Association)
IWPA (International Weight Pull Association)

Each organization has its own rules, equipment styles, and titles that dogs can earn.
But Isn’t That Cruel?
Not at all! In fact, one of the most important aspects of weight pull is consent—a dog who doesn’t want to pull simply won’t. Handlers don’t force or coerce their dogs. Success in this sport depends entirely on the trust and teamwork between dog and owner.

Dogs who enjoy weight pull often show clear signs of enthusiasm at the start line—they bark, bounce, and can't wait to get in the harness! It’s a positive outlet for driven, athletic dogs who love to work.

Why Try Weight Pull?
Builds strength and confidence
Offers a unique challenge for working breeds
Strengthens communication and trust between dog and owner
It’s inclusive—many dogs can participate with proper conditioning
Weight pull isn’t about domination—it’s about connection. If you’ve ever seen a dog light up when they realize they can pull that cart, you know it’s something special.

Have you tried weight pull? We’re thinking of getting back into it! Share your best pull photos!
