All I know professionally is training dogs. I've been doing it since I was 19 years old.

For those of you that don't know me, I started training Military Working Dogs in the Army.

I'm forever grateful for the life lessons dogs have taught me and continue to teach me.

This video shows the care and passion I have for my craft. (I'm not alone in this passion, all WODT owners share the same passion which is part of what makes this culture different).

Separation anxiety part 3 continued...

Wow Kim Prapavat and Mick crushed it in this video, so proud of board and train Mick who has level 10 separation anxiety.

Where most people fail is they go from step one to step seven.

That's always going to be setting the dog up to fail. That means no opportunity to praise/reward the dog thus no learning is taking place.

Be sure with each protocol you do it in a SIMPLE TO COMPLEX approach and do not forget to break it down so the doggo wins.

As you can see when you apply LES you will see results.

-Leadership

-System (WODT 3D learning)

Notice how calm Kim Prapavat (owner of WODT South Bay LA/LBC) is with Mick. The difference between good and great is in the details. Kim is relaxed and even has her legs and hips loose showing the dog that he too can relax.

Remember dog training starts with us as their human to show them the way!

Separation anxiety has been ruining the lives of people and dogs especially since the pandemic.

With separation anxiety dog owners don't feel like they can leave their own homes and poor dogs have wild and crazy thoughts racing through their heads. It's a real mess and stressful for both dogs and their owners.

It's time we ask more of ourselves and our dogs.

Stop settling for it's good enough. Not only is teaching your dog new skills fun. It creates a stronger bond and you'll be amazed at how much more calm your dog is.

Give your dog the gift of freedom by ensuring you have a reliable recall on/off leash both with and without distractions.

There is nothing more majestic than watching a dog run at full speed, with a huge smile and totally care free.

Life is too short to struggle with your dog!

Alex Mena owner and head trainer of WODT South OC dropping knowledge bombs.

This lesson is important for dog owners to remember and is an example of true leadership.

Dogs feel much calmer, confident and happy when their human steps up and takes the leadership role.

This is especially true when it comes to instances when a dog is fearful. By helping a dog to work through the fear in a slow, systematic and simple to complex approach you'll get the chills seeing your dog grow and become more confident.

Remember the only way through the uncomfortable things in life is to go through it, NOT AVOID IT!

Yes!!! Sometimes part of being a dog trainer is speaking to clients with what they need to hear for the highest good of their dog.

Here's a sneak peak into a lesson for a leash reactive dog.

Ryan was the 4th or 5th trainer the client came to so the details really matter to get lasting results.

One of my (Ryan's) greatest joys in working with dogs over the past 20 years is meeting and training this amazing woman, Alex Mena.

Alex is the owner and head trainer at WODT South Orange County.

She believed in my faith in her when I shared about the potential I saw in her the first time I met her and her partner and said "wow Alex you actually have the "IT" and could be a trainer".

She's absolutely crushing it! So proud of Alex for taking that leap of faith into business ownership and a career she loves.
