In loving memory of Robert Redford The Cat RIP my Robbie Red. I loved you to the moon and back. Miss you buddy � Robert Redford is a sweet stray that 'found us' in the summer of 2011.

He was in terrible shape, and I thought for sure he would test positive for for every feline disease there is. I trapped him and turns out he tested negative, He just needed nurishment,neautering, and TLC. Ive been taking care of him and a few other strays, but as time went on we realized he was friendly--slowly he came in and out, but my cats weren't having it, We have heated houses outside, but

he came in for most of the winter...Last Friday-4/27/2012 I was doing my usual morning feeding, when I saw him out on the deck with half his face hanging off. It was a horrible scene:( Rushed him to the vet....and the bill keeps getting higher and higher. He had a severely fractured jaw, and just recently we had no choice to put a feeding tube in. He is on pain medication, iron and strong antibiotics--Please help us make this sweet boy well again, he is a strong boy and wants to live. All of Robert's Veternarian info is on his chip in page:)

PSA!!

PLEASE CHECK UNDER YOUR CARS for community cats seeking shade in the summer!

Most of the country is in an oven right now with no relief in sight.

Community cats may hide out under your car for shade, especially if they’re in an area without a lot of shady spots. Our property has a lot of trees and shade and the Yard Cats are still seeking shade under the Jeep.

Be sure to check under your car before going anywhere, even if you just popped into the store for five minutes. Doing so may just save a life. ♥️

PS..The cat in the picture is our very own Domino aka Dom Juan, who was under my Jeep rather than the hundreds of shady spots on our property.

URGENT PLEA‼️
Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter needs your help with 70+ cats from the Bellmore home, we are asking shelters and rescue groups to help wherever they can. If you can't accommodate the cats rescued from the Bellmore house, please, please consider pulling some of the shelters residents to help make room.

Open house tomorrow at 11 for rescues and shelters looking to help.

-If you have been thinking about adopting and bringing a cat into your home, there is no better time then now! PLEASE visit Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter to meet their wonderful cats! Rescuing one literally saves another!
