Good afternoon!

I've got the time to do a quick (can you *ever* say "quick" about sourdough?) bake day.

So for pick-up on FRIDAY, AUGUST 22!

I'll be making:

Classic ($7)
Italian Herb & Olive Oil ($8).

Pick-up window will be the summer usual, between 3-8PM! Friday. August 22. Limited availability of both!

Porch pickup.
Cash only.
Self-serve, comment to "claim"

This week we're rolling out a NEW FLAVOR! Just in time for all your last minute summer fun!

Classic ($7)
💥 NEW FLAVOR💥 S'mores ($10) - this loaf is made with a base of our chocolate chip loaf but then we throw in a whole bunch of mini marshmallows! They do melt during baking, and leave little wet looking spots, so don't be surprised by that! But those little gummy looking spots are where all the num nums are at!

Pick-up is THURSDAY, August 7, from 3PM-8PM.

Orders close tonight at 6PM or earlier if all loaves get claimed.

Comment on this post only to claim desired loaves, and bring correct change for your order as I'm not always around to make change for you! Remember we work on a self-serve basis for everyone's convenience! 🥰

Or, say, 10-12 loaves of sourdough at 450 degrees for an hour/4 loaves, after preheating to 500. 🤣

My dear bakery friends!

This week summer is summering in the most summery way summer ever summers. It's hoooot but also *crazy* busy. I cannot figure out how to do All The Things and still bake on our regular schedule, but I think I can squeeze in a few loaves early this week.

SO orders must be in by 6PM *TONIGHT*, as pickup is going to have to be our old regular, Wednesday *instead* of Thursday this week.

Pick-up window will be 4PM-8PM.

Options this week are:

Classic ($7)
Rosemary ($8)

Number of loaves I will have time to prep and bake this week are much more limited than usual so get your orders in FAST if you want your number nums!

It has been a bit of a problem week in the bread department.

First I had to bake a couple loaves early because my refrigerator wasn't cooling properly and they were at risk of over proofing. I have gracious customers who understood that accidents happen sometimes but I was like 😭.

Then this morning when I was baking up the rest of the week's orders my husband was up earlier than usual and chatting with me while I worked. As you can see from the photo on the left, I can't multitask and forgot to do the expansion score on one of my loaves! That's the long line that goes down the side or middle of each loaf you order and is what allows the bread to rise so beautifully and without tearing. Ooooops. Fortunately it treated one of my artsy scoring lines like an expansion score, so the loaf isn't a total disaster, except for the destroyed artwork. But still. Not up to my usual standards.

The third oopsy boopsy of the week is I forgot AGAIN to ask my mother-in-law (who is also my amazing label designer!) for more labels. You may have noticed over the last few weeks St. Patrick's Day themed labels and other silliness happening. This is because I am forgetful, and lately am even worse because our puppy is not kennel trained yet. Ack!

Anyway, it's all fine but it's just funny how often mishaps happen in clusters.

But bread will be TASTY as ever, out at 3PM and until 8PM, and I'll also have FREE veggies today, and eggs for $3/doz selling on a first come first served basis! ❤️

Don't forget if for any reason you cannot pickup your loaf today, please let me know so we can work out an alternative or else I will sell it to someone else, as per my Claimed but Uncollected Loaf Policy (pinned at the top of the page on the FAQ page!)

Also, due to the heat and not wanting your bread to sit out longer than it must, pickup is 3PM-8PM. Please make a note of this! If you know you're going to be on the later side picking up, mention it in your claiming comment and I'll keep your bread inside longer. Remember, moisture in the bag is the enemy of bread, and I want y'all to get the freshest, longest-lasting product possible! ⁣
