I recently met a person at the dentist's office. She was telling me about her reactive mini Aussie. She was very honest about how she responds to her dog's reactive behavior on walks and didn't realize that she was merely suppressing her dog's reactivity (sometimes) by yelling at him or holding him back.

I appreciated her honesty and openness to learning about a safer way to help her dog! 🥰

I know this isn't new info to a lot of you...
..but you might be surprised to know how many guardians of reactive dogs still use punishment to "control" their dog's barking and lunging. They don't know how positive reinforcement works beyond just trying to distract their dog with treats.

I'm working on a project that I hope to share in the next month or two, to help more dog guardians who want to take the first step to learn to help their dog!
