Breeder’s Highlight
Rosedale Farm has been dedicated to the Dales Pony breed.
Bill and Beth say, “We knew that the Dales was the breed for us as soon as we discovered them.
These horses are truly the best and most unique breed. We are proud to be a part of conserving these beautiful ponies and watching their numbers grow. ”

It’s that time of year again to register your Dales foals! Registration paperwork is due to DPS before November 30, 2025 for on-time registration. Need help? Contact DPCNA for assistance.

Registration is critically important as an owner/breeder of a endangered breed like the Dales pony. The Rare Breed Survival Trust provides a useful overview of the importance of registration:

“The success of a breed relies on breeders keeping these animals and registering them with the relevant breed society. In order to understand the conservation status of the breed RBST relies on data, this is data provided by the breed society and is based on the animals registered in the relevant flock/herd books. Therefore, animals that are not registered with the breed society are not included in this analysis and are not seen to be contributing to the conservation of the breed.

RBST are calling on livestock breeders to ensure their animals are registered with the relevant breed society.

Animals not registered with the breed society are not contributing to the conservation of the breed.”
