We love our clients that switch up the haircuts and this lamb cut that Talynn has been doing on Lucy SLAYS. We also groom all of the rest of Lucy's family dogs. Lucy's mom's mom brings in two Aussies and their retriever Murphy. They were just in a few hours before lucy😂 We groom their neighbors dogs and their aunts LOL

We just LOVE that we get to see the entire family dynamic and get everyone clean to hit the park and impress everyone and then get dirty!

We seriously love what we do 🥰🥰 Keep sending us all the pictures in the wild!

We have been SO BUSY but Talynn is never too busy to give Lucy and all the attention and love.

Rachel has been giving all the Corgis this last week killer BBL's, but Lucy is giving them a run for their money. She SLAYS! So good. We love you guys!

We lost our good friend recently. Her parents are the absolute best humans and would always come in for her nail trim and have me choose someone off the list to pay for, just for the sake of putting out good energy into the world. They contacted us today and wanted to pay for one of our grooms for chewies birthday.

So goose got his groom paid for in chewies honor 😭😭🥰🥰 he's such a sweetheart and is always so stylish with his long sleeves and his turtle neck outfits are his signature look. His parents are also super kind, so we felt like he was the best choice!

Thank you guys! You're seriously amazing and we love you so much!

Tira is our newest addition to the bark & snip family! Talynn brought her on as a bather 6 months ago and she has been the absolute best for us and the dogs.

Tira is a horse girl and bought a horse without having a job, so talynn came to us and asked if we had a position for her here. Knowing how compassionate and hardworking she is, it was a unanimous YES.

We knew she would be a great employee, but we had no idea the impact and comfort she would bring our furry clients. A lot of times we just have her stand with our animals while we stop for phone calls or nail trims and the pets eat it up! We call her our emotional support Tira.

Thanks for being the best bather and human, Tira! We're happy to have you!

Excuse our French, but like what the actual f**k.

The techniques that Rachel had to use in order to get some of these mats split just to find an entry point was insane. Talynn was suggesting certain methods and so was I. The collective effort was next level. I can't express how much I love these women. Not only for the work that we do, but for just who they are in general. I couldn't ask for a better family.

When we're not working our asses off and being compassionate, we're goofing. This is why we have that high contrast. Life is so difficult. Just remember to be kind and compassionate, folks.

We didn't get an actual after photo because we were just in the moment and so busy with our other clients, but you can see that she just was so appreciative and loved Rachel so much. She kept jumping on her and giving her hugs. heartbreaking to see this kind of neglect, but so beautiful to have the connections that we have and the clients that we love so much

We did the absolute worst condition groom of our collective careers today.

She swore up and down she doesn't have a shih tzu mill and that this is her pet. She swears that she's been groomed before, but she was only 2 years old and it was obvious she hadn't. When I confronted her saying that she had to have been in poor conditions or in a kennel she played dumb and asked what a kennel was.... It took Rachel and I three and a half hours solid with both of us handling her to get these off of her.

We generally do high volume, but the cost of this was four large doodles... This dog was so appreciative and every time we would get a chunk of the matting off she would turn around and hug Rachel and give her kisses... Rachel cried several times. I wanted to fight the lady because she was saying that she's not in pain and was just being completely dismissive to the neglect. I'm going to try to convince her to surrender her to us and we are reporting her, but today was incredibly heavy and so difficult.

Even under sedation at a vet this would have been an almost impossible job, luckily Rachel is experienced and so compassionate and thank goodness we're all such a good team and able to come at it from every different angle.

Tally and Tira handled everything else while we worked on this. Talynn handled the transaction part of it because she showed up when we were halfway through wanting to take her as is with SO much more to get off of her poor frail, weighted body. Tried to start arguing with tally and she handled it so professionally but with a stern position and didn't waver.

All in all the woman waited in the lobby for the last hour and a half of it and left smiling and the dog will be comfortable going forward. She definitely rebooked her because I told her when she dropped off that there was no way we would be doing that dog unless she scheduled out. But hopefully she surrenders her and if not we will just keep reporting her if she doesn't bring her in on that regular schedule going forward.

Groomers don't just play with dogs all day, it's heavy and back breaking work that takes so much compassion, patience and skill. Today was a true testament to that

Ham is the most amazing and tolerant kitty boy. They wanted to save his coat and generally it would be an "ABSOLUTELY NOT, he needs to be shaved!" moment. But, Jayme wanted to give it a go and worked her magic. He's feeling ten pounds lighter and ready to show off his new physique! Love our kitty customers 🥰🥰

Talynn is in VEGAS for her ten year anniversary, so Rachel and Jayme are holding down the fort!

Since it's just the two of us our walk in nail trims are only until noon today (Saturday June 8th) and we are CLOSED Monday (June 10th)

Hey, Bark & Snip familyl

Just want to give everyone a heads up that we will be closed Monday May 13th and Monday June 10th for maintenance on the shop during our busy season.

On Mondays we are only doing nail trims until noon through the summer and are currently booked out 5 weeks.

We will be booking out anywhere between 6-8 weeks throughout the spring and summer, so make sure you call ahead! We highly suggest making your appointment at pickup and if you're on a set schedule, booking all of your spring/summer appointments ahead of time!
