Foster/Adopt a Newf in need!

Happy New Year! As always the need for Rescue has no set schedule. We have two different male dogs needing our help in KY. If you are available to foster or would like to adopt please let us know. We have had some changes to our application process so if you have filled out an application with us please let us know if you’re still interested in adopting/fostering.

Added info:

A 6 1/2 yo male, neutered, house trained, protective of stolen people food as he likes to surf the trash. Great with kids and other dogs/cats. Losing home because of to many pets and he doesn’t get the attention he needs.

A 2 1/2 year old male, neutered, not good with chickens. Losing home no fault of his own. Crate trained, will jump on people but easily redirected, housetrained, good with kids.

UPDATE- A FOSTER HOME HAS BEEN FOUND. THANK YOU FOR THE OUTPOURING OF SUPPORT!

URGENT NEED FOR FOSTERS- we have a young male and young female Newfoundland that need to come into rescue immediately because of family medical issues. Per the owner, both are average energy, good with most dogs, and both are good with kids and adults. They are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines. One dog has some allergy challenges, which SCNR will work with the foster home to treat. They do not have to be fostered together. SCNR needs your support at our annual Christmas Tree Pull at Dull's Tree Farm in Thornton IN on December 7th & 8th! This is our 21st year!!!! Please let us know if you can be there to pull. It's helpful to the club if you have a harness, and if you have a wagon or a sled that can haul in trees, that would be great! It is a wonderful event full of memories, friends and Newfies. Hours for pulling are Saturday 9-4, Sunday 1-4. The farm is open till 6 each day. Pullers need to be ready before the farm opens or else getting in is near impossible!— with South Central Newfoundland Rescue.

Reminder our Tree Pull is coming soon!!!! Please come to Dulls Tree Farm in Thorntown IN on December 7th 8-4pm or the 8th 1-4pm. Dogs needed to help pull trees and for "meeting and greeting" people who come to the farm to see our Newfies. This is a wonderful event to start the holiday season.

Looking for a home for a 2 year old brown newfie girl!
We are accepting applications for a young newf girl that must have a good fence and a balanced dog in the house. She's very sweet but has a high prey drive and is a bit clingy so needs a home where the people encourage her independence and don't reinforce her clinging.
