Ryker the Ball Python
Ryker was born on December 16Th 2016, we adopted him on May 20Th 2017 we met him at FAMILY REPTILES out in Lakeland, FL. The shop was very clean and organized and staff were excellent in help and advice of all there products and animals. We never thought we would own a snake as we have always been a little timid because of how fast they move and also being bitten by a snake
was not appealing, but one day i decided to check out the shop and was able to see and hold some snakes freely and this guy caught my eye because of his beauty and how DOCILE he was. Ryker is currently 7 Yr's old and has never bitten anyone! he is very docile and super curious. Another reason for me being able to purchase/adopt a snake was seeing ton's of people on youtube trying to handle snakes and those that owned a lot and it seemed interesting and fun, The person who stuck out the most was VIPERKEEPER i really like his work and the care he gives to each of his snakes, he is a great influence and got me over my fear/unknown of snakes and taught me a lot as well and i continue to watch his videos as often as possible. CLEANING & FEEDING/WATERING
Feedings: Eats once a week 1 item only or 1 large item every two weeks depending on SIZE , he eat's Rat's and Mice (Large/Frozen)
Handling: He is held and out of his enclosure at least 3 times a week (Socialized) hes enjoys lots of enrichment
Cage Cleaning: bedding changed twice a month, p**p scooped as often as needed, water changed twice a week or more if needed. Bathing/Spraying: i mist him with water once a week, he also takes a small swim/bath once a month.
