Discarded in a box- A small dog had clearly been injured, there was blood, there were open wounds, he couldn’t walk, and yet he was lying in a box that had been placed on the ground in front of some shops. How does someone make the decision to walk away knowing that if no one comes to the rescue, the dog will simply die there alone without the ability to walk to find water or food or shelter…..he
was left totally exposed and vulnerable. Thankfully, a kind person did see him, a post was made about a dog in need and Angelica raced to help him. Angelica is part of Angelicat, a wonderful group that rescues cats in the Puerto Vallarta area, and she is an animal rescuer….if she can help, she will. She went to the location, picked up the pup and immediately got him to Dr. Peña. Clooney was in lots of pain, with an open wound on one rear paw, but he tested negative for the really scary illnesses. Angelica asked MexPup for help, and as she is always there for the animals, we knew we needed to be there to help her with this pup. After one week of in care at the vets, we got the great news that his paw was going to be saved and his overall prognosis was great. Clooney moved into a foster home when he could continue to heal, and gain confidence & trust. This approximately 2 year old pup weighs about 3 kilos. He gets along well with other dogs (both small and big). Clooney is a cuddler and he loves being with people (once he has a bit of time to gain trust). He is looking for a family that will love him, care for him and value him……we have promised him that he will never be discarded again.
