It's been a while, but it's $5 Friday and Kristoff needs your help!
From his amazing foster mom Megan, who has been Kristoff's safe haven, person chef, chauffeur, and poured her heart and soul into him, all while raising almost $500 to cover his vetting.
"If anyone is looking for a way to help the rescue without having to foster then here is your chance! My poor sweet handsome foster Kristoff is sick. He stopped eating last week and has been listless since. We spent 5+ hours in the ER yesterday doing imaging and lab diagnostics--no blockage (yay!) and abdomen/chest rads are clear (except for a BB meaning he's been shot before) but he is anemic and has thrombocytopenia so we ran an infectious disease panel, hopefully we'll have results in the next day or two.
As you can imagine it's not cheap and rescue depends on donations, without your donations none of this is possible. YOU CAN HELP!!! Any amount is appreciated and every dollar adds up. I am so thankful he made it out of the shelter and into a rescue before getting sick, there is no way he'd be alive today if he was still in the Texas shelter.
Kristoff has defied the odds for so long; 3 years on the streets or as a disposable pet with someone who threw him away like garbage. 3+ months in a shelter unloved where no one wanted him and he was set to be euthanized for space. Transport of 1700+ miles. Finally, just as he should be enjoying his first days of happily ever after, he's now fighting to survive-- again. Through it all he has remained the best boy ever (we won't talk about how he picks through his beef and rice to leave the rice behind, or how he snubs all my other yummy foods I cook him, or how he decided animal crackers are his jam and stole a box from my office desk today, or how he only takes his pills with a little bit of ice cream).
Please please PLEASE help my sweet little love, he deserves happiness and health. He is NOT trash, he is loved deeply, and he is worth fighting for-- help me prove it".
