We are pleased to announce our latest scientific publication on the Effects of BIŌNTE® QUIMITŌX® PLUS, our Premium Mycotoxin Detoxifier that combines selected adsorbent materials, bioactive phytogenics, and post-biotic yeast products, on the oxidative status, health, and performance in dairy sheep. This research was made possible through a great collaboration with the team of Dr. Vassilis G. Papatsiros from the University of Thessaly (UTH) Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας , the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) Γεωπονικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών - Agricultural University of Athens -Οfficial , the Institute of Technology of Agricultural Products of the Hellenic Agricultural Organization – Demeter ΕΛΓΟ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΑ and the Agricultural Cooperative of Cattle Breeders and Sheep Breeders Western Thessaly. 🌾 🥛 🐑
The aim of the trial was to evaluate the efficacy of BIŌNTE® QUIMITŌX® PLUS in reducing the detrimental effects of chronic exposure to mycotoxins on dairy sheep fed with a natural multi-contaminated diet (with aflatoxin B1, fumonisins B1+B2 and ochratoxin A) focusing on the impact on key biomarkers of effect for oxidative status, health and performance. 🔬 ⚕️ 📈
The published data reveals that the administration of BIŌNTE® QUIMITŌX® PLUS in dairy sheep exposed to natural mycotoxin contamination for a 90-day period during lactation could significantly improve:
⚖️ Oxidative balance: ⬇️ TBARS and CARBS in plasma and milk.
🛡️ Liver enzymes function: ⬇️ ALT, AST, and ALP in plasma.
✅ Udder health: clinical performance parameters of ⬆️ formation/regression, ⬇️ redness and ⬆️ loose consistency.
🥛 Colostrum and milk quality: ⬆️ good Brix thresholds, fat and total solids levels.
