My second litter of viper boas, born yesterday. Not quite the high number as the first. This one was 8 live, 5 still born and a few infertile ova. These babies are considerably bigger than the first litters babies too. They average 11 grams where the first averaged 8 grams.
I've been wondering when this mom would deliver. She's been gravid most of the year!

This book looked so bad from the cover I had to purchase a copy to see if it lived up to expectations. After the first page, I was slightly concerned I might lose actual brain cells if I continued. I had my 13 year old read it out loud after that. It's bad, but sure made us laugh.

Newborn Brazilian rainbows, always exciting! I've produced at least one litter of these a year since 2002 and it never gets old, even though babies tend to strike at me just as much. Maybe one day they'll learn?

Interesting experience yesterday. When the boys or I come across snakes, frogs or toads while doing yard work we will put them in buckets to keep them from getting hit with the mower and we'll release them afterwards. I surprised this girl while w**d wacking and unfortunately, I think hit the tip of her tail. Put her in the bucket and got back to work. While contained in there she dropped a litter of seven little babies! Now all released back in the yard now that the grass is done
