Got the sad news that my sweet friend Ivan crossed the rainbow bridge. Hardest part of my job is losing my buddies. I’m absolutely heartbroken but he lived 15 1/2 years full of so much love. His parents cherished him and I’m so very sad for them that he’s gone. Ivan liked to walk himself. He would carry his leash in his mouth and he would guide me all over his neighborhood. He loved treats, pets and hanging in his yard to play. I have so many special memories of my handsome friend through the years. Rest in the sweetest peace Ivan 🐾🌈

Had the pleasure of checking in on my pals Page and Hendrix while their pawrents were away. These two are not only adorable but very sweet. Hendrix is always doing something silly to make me laugh and Page is so loving.

Happy National Golden Retriever Day! So fortunate to have so many wonderful Golden’s in my life. Leia, Luke, Molly, Lola and Axel are all rays of sunshine. If you have a golden or know one, you know that they are some of the happiest pups you’ll ever meet. So easy going and genuinely happy just to be near you. I hope all of my Golden gang has a wonderful day.

I’m always told how lucky I am that I get to “play with puppies all day” for my job. Most days I would agree with you but today was not one of them. Today was really hard. Still a million times better than working in an office though!
My buddies were all such good sports walking in the cold. Some of them live for this weather then others wanted to go back early to play with puzzles or toys with the rest of their time. I can’t blame them one bit. I haven’t felt my hands or toes since this morning. Time to thaw out!

Not a good day to be a Dog Walker 🤣 we got absolutely soaked but my buddies were so brave. Some of them weren’t too happy with me but I think we can all agree how adorable they look wrapped up in towels ☔️🌧️💦

3 years today with out our Brady. It snowed last night and I have to take that as a sign that he was checking in on me. Snow was his favorite. I wished so badly that he got to see one more snow. The night he passed it did. I think he saved it special for us as a way to say he got to where he was going and that everything would be ok. It was an honor to be his mom for nearly 14 years. He taught us unconditional love, commitment and responsibility. Brady was stubborn, independent and bold. I laugh when I say he was kind of a jerk, but he was my jerk. He had the bluest stunning eyes. He loved to swim at the beach, nap on the deck, go for long walks, loved ice cream and the snow was his absolute favorite. He loved to roll around in it, eat it and stick his whole head in a snow pile. When he was young he would jump through the snow drifts like a dolphin and when he was older he would simply nap in it. His love and comfort got me through some of the hardest times of my life. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of him and miss him terribly. He would love his sister and brother. I want them to experience everything he loved and of course all of the snow ❄️ 💙

With the holiday fast approaching I thought I would share what the dogs can and can’t eat. My pups will be getting their own small plate of approved foods to enjoy. If case of ingestion from anything on the no list please call the pet poison hotline/your vet immediately for guidance.
Also if your dog is on prescription meds and running low please call for a refill today. Don’t wait until the holiday. The vet staff will be busy with emergencies and I’m sure they would like a little down time to eat as well.

Introducing my new pal Barney to the Lisa Takes the Lead Pack! Barney is a 9 year old Australian Shepherd with the most stunning eyes. Barney is a shy boy and it takes him a little time to trust new people. It took some patience and a lot of treats but after just a few days he started showing me his happy and silly personality. After about 2 weeks I tried to take a pic with him and I surprisingly got kisses 🥰 I hope he knows he can trust me, that I will always protect him and care for him as I would my own. His big smile makes my day and when he rolls around in the grass I can’t help but laugh at how silly he is. Welcome to the pack my handsome friend
