Producer Spotlight: CVLR Trina

Some females define a program—and CVLR Trina is exactly that kind of llama.

Representing our literature-inspired line, Trina combines an incredible show record with proven production, making her a standout addition to our herd.

We welcomed Trina last year in unforgettable fashion—after purchasing her bred, she delivered a beautiful, look-alike female within just two hours of the purchase. That cria, CVLR Lady of Caraverre (Cara), has already begun making a name for herself, most recently earning an impressive double second place finish in a large class at Spring Showcase.

As a finished halter champion, Trina’s own show career speaks for itself including a Reserve Champion at March Llama Madness.

Even more impressive—when we picked her up at ALSA Nationals last year, we decided to enter her just for fun… and she walked away with the National Championship while in a full body shear!

Her success doesn’t stop there. Trina has consistently produced high-performing offspring, including standout males like CVLR Silverton, a National Champion and Best in Show winner.

Beyond the banners and accolades, Trina continues to prove her value as a producer, passing on quality, presence, and consistency to the next generation.

We are proud to co-own Trina with our longtime partner, Aspen Kelchen, and are excited for what the future holds for this incredible female.

Producer Spotlight: MAL Badger’s Anohana

Some females carry more than just potential, they carry a story. MAL Badger’s Anohana, or Annie, is one of those truly special llamas in our herd.

Representing our animation-inspired line, Annie is the second generation of this theme, following in the footsteps of her dam, Heartbreaker ZF, who now resides in Florida.

Annie holds a place that’s especially meaningful to us—she is the only daughter of our late stud, CVL Pride’s Badger. Losing Badger made Annie’s arrival all the more significant, and she continues to embody everything we loved about him.

As she looks toward potentially starting her breeding career this spring, we’re incredibly excited about what she may bring to the future of our program.

In the show ring, Annie was hard to miss with a beautiful, feminine face and ear set that turned heads
and apresence that consistently caught attention

And at home, she’s everything we value in a female: sweet, easygoing temperament, while also confident and easy to handle

Annie is the kind of llama that blends meaning and potential and we’re looking forward to the next chapter as she begins her journey as a producer.

Producer Spotlight: CVL Lemon Drop

Some llamas just capture your attention instantly—and CVL Lemon Drop, or LD, has been that kind of female from the very beginning for me.

She was truly a love-at-first-sight llama—the kind you know you have to have from the very first photo. And she has exceeded every expectation since joining our herd.

As the maternal sister to Syrah, it only felt right for LD to carry a Roman mythology theme, complementing that shared lineage.

LD welcomed her first cria last September, MAL Lucina, who also gave her new owner that "love at first sight" experience. We couldn’t be more excited about the start of this line. Lucy represents everything we love about LD and the direction we see for her future.

Adding even more depth to her, LD is a granddaughter of the great Marisco—a standout stud and longtime favorite of mine, making her lineage just as impressive as her presence.

LD is one of my all-time favorite llamas to show in both halter and performance. She truly clicked on the performance courses from the start and has the perfect temperament to be successful in all regards.

LD is the kind of female that brings it all together—pedigree, disposition, and potential—and we’re incredibly excited to watch her line continue to grow with us.

Producer Spotlight: New Leaf’s Dawn

There’s something special about the quiet, consistent females—and New Leaf’s Dawn is exactly that kind of presence in our herd.

Dawn's theme is natural phenomenon. Her first cria, MAL Dawn’s Totality, is now living with Terry Thorspecken in Florida and already proving successful in the show ring!

While Dawn didn’t spend much time in the show ring, she made it count. In her limited outings, she proved herself competitive, showcasing excellent conformation on a strong, compact frame.

At home, Dawn truly shines. She’s easy to handle, dependable, and an exceptional mother—the kind of female every program values for both her disposition and the quality she passes on.

With a strong start to her production career, we’re excited to see how Dawn’s line continues to develop in the years ahead.
