We need your help!
We run a weekly bonus ball fundraiser on behalf of the rescue which helps to cover the day to day running costs-but we have numbers unclaimed!
For just £2 a number, you can be in with a chance of winning £60 if your number comes out as the bonus ball during Saturday night's lottery draw. The remainder of the money (£58 if it's a full board) goes to the rescue.
If you want to play, to be in with a chance of winning £60 on Saturday, then please head over to the Kitty Care Rescue Fundraising Group and join us.
There are around 6 numbers currently available- why not give it a go and help the rescue while you play? Better odds than a full on lottery win ;)

Hi everyone! 🌟 You can support me by sending Stars – they help me earn money to keep making content that you love.
I've switched this facility on- not entirely sure how it works, but if we can make money for the rescue by posting for and about the rescue then I'm all for it! We'll have some lives coming soon hopefully too.
Whenever you see the Stars icon, you can send me Stars.

***ADOPTION POST***

Piper is an utterly adorable little girl. She is keen to investigate her surroundings, and just loves to play. She overcame horrific odds as a tiny kitten to survive and be ready for a home of her own. If you haven't followed her story, I can provide full details via pm if you wish- but she came in to the rescue with her two sisters. They were all teeny and beautiful, and so so sick. One sister just had no energy to go on and one had both eyes rupture- so she underwent an operation to have them removed but died in recovery. Poor Piper was then alone, very sick and crying for her sisters. Vet instructions were followed to the letter and she had medication and eye drops- and only me for company. After a long time, she was finally allowed to mingle with other cats- and she wasted no time diving all over my boys insisting they play with her and love her! She plays with everything, every toy is her favourite- she's especially fond of a cat nip carrot!
She is an absolute sweetheart who will cuddle once she has played and eaten, but doesn't enjoy being picked up. She will come to you for fusses and cuddles. She sleeps on me, or with one of the boys.
She likes to climb, so you mustn't be precious about your furniture or curtains. She will climb up your legs too. She is incredibly active and would probably benefit from another young cat in the home for her to play with. She loves a head scratch and is quick to purr. She enjoys being brushed, which is just as well as she needs brushing daily.
Piper is around eight months old, but small for her age. She is up to date with flea and worming treatments, and will be spayed and microchipped before she goes to her forever home.
If your home is in need of a beautiful independent girl who will cuddle with you and purr (whose home doesn't need one of those?!), then complete the application form with as much detail as possible, stating that Piper is the kitty for you.

If you are missing such a kitty, could this be yours?

We paid off some of the outstanding vet bill thanks to a fundraiser in the group (more fundraisers to come in there to get this bill down!)
and i want to say thank you to those of you who have made payments directly to the vets to reduce the outstanding.
We are currently at £959 oustanding.

That said, we do have 3 female neuters to do, and it is almost food subscription time so we are desperately seeking money again please! If you can spare a few quid, please do- it all adds up and makes a difference.
The bank account was emptied to pay for Simba's vet visit on Tuesday with his eye infection- he's back on eye drops (different ones this time).
Bank transfer is the best way to get money to us, but if using paypal, please consider sending it friends and family so that fees are not taken out of your donation, many thanks.

(I'm currently at the vet now, getting a stray checked for a microchip- the work of a rescue never stops, even if you aren't taking in boarders right now!)

Oh, and Piper is available for adoption! I'll post her full description later, but here's a picture of her for now!

I've added water bottles to our wishlist after speaking with others who work in the cat rescue arena. Most of the rescues we have in don't drink from their water bowls. They stand in them, causing the water to spill. They throw litter in the water bowl. These are a solution to these issues- and I've seen cats actually drinking from them! So it's absolutely worth switching. They are currently £12.99 each if anyone would like to buy one for the rescue- we'd all be incredibly grateful xx

***Adoption post***

Simba is an utterly adorable sweetheart with a really gentle nature. He's a handsome ginger lad, pretty much identical in looks and personality to Duke- only Simba has both of his eyes!
The third eyelid of his left eye is visible due to scarring on the cornea from a previously untreated ulcer. Poor lad wasn't taken to a vet at all until he was found near Pwllheli rugby club. He is prone to getting an ulcer in that eye- easily treated with eye drops, but we are hopeful that they will become fewer and further between as he grows.
He is neutered, litter trained (he's very clean and tidy with his tray), and up to date with worming and flea treatment.
He is happy to just sit and cuddle with his human (unless you've just put drops in his eye!), but will play with a catnip toy. He isn't bothered about the presence of other cats, but think he would be best off with a cat he can play with when he feels like it.
He enjoys exploring, so will love moving into a new environment. Recommend him being an indoor cat due to the less than perfect vision in his left eye, but he'd love a walk outside on a harness after the initial indoor period.
He will sit and purr for ages after eating, he is a very content little guy. He is around 9 months old, but small for his age- he will grow like a w**d once he gets his forever home :)
If your home is in need of a gentle natured ginger lad who will cuddle with you and purr (whose home doesn't need one of those?!), then complete the application form with as much detail as possible, stating that Simba is the kitty for you.

You may have noticed recently that the photos of the cats are suddenly not crap! This is due to the fact that we officially have a volunteer who helps out at the rescue now (hooray I hear you all cheer!), and she used to run her own pet photography business- so she brings her camera with her. Her name is Sam, and you know there's going to be a calendar available at the end of this year!
So, thank you Sam. And welcome aboard xx

So, Simba's horrendous ordeal of eye drops three times a day is over!
It will take time for him to adjust back to cuddles- he thinks when i pick him up, it's eye drops time 😥

This fabulous news means that he is now available for adoption!
I will write and publish this, and hopefully others, over the weekend.
In the meantime, here he is in his stunning ginger glory:
