What’s going to happen with the remaining beagles at Ridglan Farms in Dane County, Wisconsin?

It’s a question many of you are asking and one I’ve asked the company directly.

Here’s what Ridglan Farms is saying right now:

“Ridglan Farms is in the midst of finalizing arrangements for the remaining dogs.”

During my interview this week with Big Dog Ranch Rescue Founder and CEO Lauree Simmons, I asked whether she believes those dogs will end up with rescue groups.

Here’s what she told me:

“They know we want them. They know we're not giving up on them. And if we can't get them out the right way, this way, the most structured, safest way, I am very confident the federal government and RFK's team is going to very soon pull that trigger and say no more testing on animals.”

This week, Big Dog Ranch Rescue completed the removal of the 1,000 dogs it purchased from Ridglan Farms.

The Center for a Humane Economy, which purchased another 500 beagles, will go into the facility next.

That leaves roughly 500 dogs still inside the breeding and research facility.
