✨ Celebrating the Arabian Breed in Scotland with Qazadi ✨

Qazadi is a very special stallion. High percentage Crabbet, bred by Vanessa Brown, he has shown true versatility by excelling across a variety of disciplines. This striking 8-year-old began his career in-hand, where he was Reserve BNC Crabbet as both a yearling and two-year-old, as well as earning a Gold Award at the British Futurity.

As a novice ridden 4-year-old under David Froggatt, he impressed again, taking Reserve Novice Ridden Champion at the Northern Arabian Regional Group Show.

Qazadi then spent time focusing on breeding while enjoying countryside hacks in Cumbria with Amy Brennan. He gained further confidence at local shows, winning Champion Ridden and Reserve Overall, and proved himself to be a kind and sensible horse, calmly dealing with everything from wayward cattle to heavy machinery. His youngstock are already carrying forward his wonderful temperament, movement and conformation.

In 2025, Qazadi’s career stepped up again with Laura McWhinnie, a serving police officer. With Laura, he has shown a true flair for dressage and a natural ability for showjumping, working hunter and cross-country. Together they’ve celebrated:
🏆 Champion Crabbet at the Scottish Regional Group Show
🏆 Multiple wins and Reserve Overall Ridden champion at the Royal Highland Show

Looking ahead, Qazadi’s goals include competing in a One Day Event and qualifying for the BD Arabian Dressage Championships – all while continuing to have fun and producing quality youngstock who will go on to be stars of the future. 🌟

☀️🌧️ A lesson of two halves today!
Both of these photos were taken just half an hour apart – one in glorious sunshine, the other in torrential rain.

That’s the joy of horses (and Cornish weather!)… you never quite know what you’re going to get, but the show must go on 🐴✨

✨ A big welcome to Khan ✨
Khan has joined us at HC Show Production on short-term schooling livery. Part of his stay includes working on his loading, and we’re thrilled to share that within just 24 hours he was confidently walking into the box without any fuss! 🚛🐴

Every horse is different, and we take the time to ensure they feel calm, safe, and confident in their training. Khan is already making great progress, and we’re excited to keep everyone updated with videos of his journey. 💙

✨ Celebrating the Arabian Breed ✨

This week we’d love to say hi to April Knighton and share her wonderful story as she begins her new journey with her very first Arabian. 🐎💫

*“Having worked in racing for over 10 years when I left school I’ve always been fond of the more ‘highly strung’ breeds but never had time for one myself. I had the opportunity to buy a Friesian who I fell in love with and was my forever mare. I lost her a few years ago and said I’d never replace her.

A few months ago I saw this gorgeous grey Arabian gelding that I couldn’t stop thinking about. After talking to my husband and doing lots of research on the breed we decided to buy him! These past few months have been amazing and I’m still amazed at how smart he is and the bond just keeps getting stronger.

I’m taking things slower with him as he’s only 6 years old and hasn’t done much, but I’m enjoying in-hand liberty and hacking him out. My near-future plans are to do some in-hand shows with him and see how that goes!”* – April Knighton

✨ Feeling so grateful ✨

I have so many updates (and lots of photos!) from GCAT still to share with you all, but before I do, I just want to say a huge thank you 💕

To everyone who took the time to message me with congratulations, good luck wishes, or words of support – it honestly means the world. A special thank you as well to everyone at Manor Farm for the beautiful gifts on my return!

This weekend at GCAT was truly incredible – both competing and getting the chance to enjoy London. It’s left me feeling inspired, motivated, and more excited than ever for next year’s show season… even though there’s still plenty left of this year to enjoy too! 🐎✨

✨ Tomorrow… we go GLOBAL! ✨
Dancing Mirage SBM is off to GCAT London – and this truly is what dreams are made of.

Six years ago, I was sat around Sarah and Peter Howard’s kitchen table, underselling myself and saying I wouldn’t be showing colts or stallions. Fast forward six years, and here I am… about to step onto the biggest stage of my career with Mirage by my side.

From that first conversation to this moment – it’s been an incredible journey. I wouldn’t want to share this stage with any other horse. 💫🐎
