We are now opening orders for Phalaenopsis!
Phalaenopsis or “PHALS” can be placed anywhere in your home out of direct sunlight once in bloom. Once in bloom, the flowers last for 5 to 8 weeks (given the right temperature and conditions). “PHALS” should be placed in areas between 20 degrees to 26 degrees Celsius. It thrives best in airconditioned rooms or cool areas – Offices, Clinics, Bedrooms, Living Rooms etc.. Place under indirect sunlight for 4-5 hours on a cool environment once a week when in bloom.
Once the blooms fall off, increase the amount of light it receives. Remember, it can only tolerate indirect sunlight.
Water your orchids with cold water (Not very very cold. NEVER USE WARM WATER EITHER.) until the mid portion of water refill indicator once it has reached the refill line. Never water the leaves too. Water should never be allowed to rest around the stem of the plant. This will cause the new leaves to rot, and the plant will die.
A plant with proper lighting will produce light green leaves. Too little light will result in dark green leaves, and too much light will cause a pink or reddish tinge to develop along leaf margins, which will eventually turn yellow.
“PHALS” blooms once a year, a really happy orchid blooms more often.
