Created by Angela Misell, Natural Animal Nutritionist, it will added the extra vitamins and minerals, that meat alone does not provide. In BEG's mix there are fresh veg and combined with extra ingredients, all selected for the nutrients they provide, that once mixed with the meat will have all the vitamin and minerals dogs need. A raw unbalanced diet, or commercial balanced diet? Your dog needs a
ll the nutrients and they need it fed raw. BEG aims to provide and raw vegetable pulp, which is mixed with extra ingredients, to fill in the missing vitamins and minerals that are missing from meat. Making it a very easy meal for you dog to digest. All the extra ingredients are chosen for their vitamin and mineral content, and when mixed together with the meat will provide a meal that has all the nutrients you dog needs. This way you don’t have to guess, how much to put in your dog’s food, it’s ready to be mixed and then fed out. BEG does not contain any fillers, like rice, pasta or grains. These foods have little to no nutrition, and are mainly starch filled carbs. Of no value, at all for your dogs, and actually makes it hard on their digestive system. As these food are not digested very well, your dog has to eliminate them, causing extra stress on the bowel, having to put out large amounts of faeces. (Which you then, have to pick up!). Carbs are not something our dogs are supposed to be eating. It increases their sugar levels, which can lead to diabetes or obesity. It also causes the pancreas to work harder, for the food to digest, as there are no enzymes in processed food. Unfortunately these conditions are common place in today’s society. Your dog does not have a choice, in what they are fed. If they could talk, what do you think they would ask to eat? How do you think you would feel, if you were to eat a dry food every day, even if it’s different tasting with the different varieties that are available on today’s market? Your dog’s digestion is constantly in a state of dehydration. This is why the faeces can be dry and crumbly or squishy. Using BEG with your meat, you will be providing extra moisture, which is packed full of vitamins and minerals, as it is the juice from the vegetables and fruit. There is no water added. Mixing kibble with raw meat, is also not very good. The kibble is made up to a balanced formula, most of the nutrients are on a minimum basis. By mixing this with meat lowers those, already minimum levels, to almost none. Cooking your dog’s food isn’t good either, even steaming, as the heat does diminish some of the vitamins and minerals. The enzymes in the food are also none existent, due to the heat reaching over 50 degrees. Enzymes are only available in food that is raw. With enzymes available in the food, the pancreas does not have to produce as much of it owns enzymes, during the digestion process. Chicken mince that is sold for pet food, has fine bone through it. Cooking this will cause the bone to change its molecular structure and can no longer be broken down in the digestion process. This means that no calcium can be absorbed, which can lead to calcium deficiency. It could also puncture the gut as it goes through the bowel. This is can be very dangerous if fed to a growing pup. They need calcium for their bone growth and general development. If the bone cannot be absorbed, even though it is in the food, the pup can develop rickets later in life and could have terrible bone deformities. As the bone is not digested it has to pass through the bowel and could possible piece the inside gut, causing bleeding.
