Fun and games with these beauties, Rosie Peggie and Gracie. It’s very difficult to get a good picture of all three of them together as Peggie and Gracie are whirlwinds 😅🥰 super cute though Gracie always checks that Rosie is ok.

Between walks, licki mats, enrichment games (and hand feeding Rosie hers 🥹🥰) were having lots of fun.

Little update on my boy….

Sorry I’ve been rubbish at updating socials and the amount of you who ask about Paulie is just so lovely - our real life doggy in the window of aintree 🥺🥰

Truth is no sooner did I post those images of him playing the other friday & boasting about how well he was doing, he couldn’t weight bare again come the Saturday so it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions and making sure we are doing absolutely everything possible in the background to help him.

He has had a fair few “good” days this week so I’m bursting with happiness but equally don’t want to shout from the rooftops about it because tomorrow could be different. He’s so up and down and so am I because of it 😅

My anxiety has been bad for a long time over Paulie but lately it’s been through the roof & there aren’t many people who understand when it comes to anticipatory grief/pet anxiety unfortunately.

I don’t say that for peoples pitty and certainly not for attention but simply to raise awareness that these emotions are real and the sad reality is that as our dogs age/have injuries, our minds wander into dark places about how limited our time is with them & quite frankly its unbearable.

In terms of where we are at managing Paulie’s pain. I have researched….. a LOT! I had a phone consult with on Monday in regards to stem cell treatment and this is still an option though I want to weigh them all up and would like to have some acupuncture for Paulie with a proper pain plan in place maybe first. I have spoken to the lovely Esme .wellness.wirral in regards to this. Thank you for recommending

This will run alongside Paulie’ s regular physio/hydro with the amazing Alice - we couldn’t live without this now it’s such an important role in Paulie’s health and longevity.

Then I will re-assess the stem cell treatment route.

In the meantime I am looking into a good red light therapy for at home. I’ve heard ones are good so if anybody has any experience with these please let me know or any recommendations that would be great.

The difference a week makes. Paulie has gone from being unable to walk and toilet for a few days and going for walks in his pram to fully enjoying his walks & playing again. He’s been absolutely on one today and I am here for it!

Happy tears this week - I could my lucky stars everyday for this boy.

💔 Dixie is struggling to cope in kennels 💔

Dixie is a 4-year-old bully cross with a very sad story.

He was found straying and taken to the PDSA, where his owner was traced; but heartbreakingly, they didn’t want him back. The PDSA reached out to rescues everywhere, but no one had space for him. We just couldn’t turn our back on this boy and offered him the lifeline he needed.

Dixie hadn’t been with us very long, but it was clear he hasn’t had much love or comfort in his young life. He had a big hematoma on his ear that has now been operated on and is now fully healed, but what he now needs is simple…a kind hand, a cuddle on the couch, and someone to show him he’s finally safe.
He’s a strong, handsome lad, so he’ll need an owner who can handle him physically. He is good with other dogs and is a perfect boy in the home, he is currently being fostered with Helen and Bob and he’s doing great.
