Dear Harmonious Hounds Family,

We are writing to you with some big news, with both a mix of sadness and excitement. We are beyond grateful that you have allowed Harmonious Hounds into your homes and to play such an important role for your furry companions for over ten years. We could never express completely how much that has meant to us. After much deliberation, however, Tim and Lauren have decided to make some big changes, namely embarking on another exciting venture and bidding a fond farewell to Harmonious Hounds.

With that said, we would like to unveil an exciting new project. It all started with OutHounds Adventure Club, which took shape four years ago, when Tim and Eric put their heads together; two friends wanting to try something new. Their goal was to bring together the love of outdoors, dogs, and adventuring to share with others. They led curated adventure hikes all throughout the south coast for people (with or without dogs!) while promoting the protection of our natural world.

We are now looking to combine this project with our passion for training, creating a company with adventure as its central theme. With adventure learning training curriculums, we will provide group classes, day training, and private training with new approaches and focus. We will also be providing pack adventures (where staff take your dogs out on extended hikes), Open-Gym learning, Merit Badges, and new Adventure Club outings where we lead both dog and people teams into new challenges and terrains. OutHounds Adventure Club will now be the OutHounds Adventure & Training Academy, LLC and we could not be happier with our inaugural Adventure Team. Led by Adventure Tim, we are thrilled to have Adventure Eric's enthusiasm, Adventure Lauren's training expertise, Adventure Rachel's environmental knowledge, and a special shout out to Adventure Sam's doggedness and tireless efforts to get this project off the ground at a blazing pace! Tim has a B.F.A. in Visual Art from the University of Connecticut and a M.A. in Education from Sacred Heart University. He has over 20 years of teaching experience in both the classroom and one-on-one settings. As a result, he is a natural-born teacher, with the innovation to connect with students young and old. Consequently, Harmonious Hounds lets him unite both of his passions: animals and education.

In the fall of 2017, she obtained her professional dog training certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, Inc.

He shares his home with his Tamaskan Dog, Zip.

Samantha was introduced to positive reinforcement training upon adopting her pup, Barley, and is currently pursuing certification as a Certified Training Partner with Karen Pryor Academy. She strives to provide the most compassionate care to your pets and to use science-based, humane and creative methods while training.

She lives in Rhode Island with Barley and her partner, Ian.

Cats are incredibly adept at hiding pain. This trait, while serving them well in the wild, can make it difficult for their humans to know when they need help.
