Merry Christmas everypawdy 🐾🎄 I hope you’ve all had a lovely Christmas with your friends and/or family.

If you didn’t or have felt less than jolly due to any numbers of reasons, I’m sending you a big virtual hug. I know how it is to feel alone or lose someone important and to feel that sadness or grief heavily especially in a time with such a big emphasis on love and connection. We’re all out here doing our best and that’s okay ❤️

It would’ve been Charlie’s 12th birthday today if he were still alive. I took this video the night before he died. He absolutely devoured some carrot and sat on my knee for hours just relaxing. It was less than 12 hours later that he was gone 😢 I miss this cutie everyday.

Sorry to pull on the heartstrings tonight but I can see the hundreds of comments on my previous post (and thank you for your kind words and condolences, you have no idea how much I appreciate them all) asking about Lucy.

Lucy came and sat next to me and just looked at him… My heart was already broken and that just added to it. I think she’s definitely aware that something isn’t right. She’s licked my face repeatedly as well (I guess trying to comfort me). Rest assured, I’m giving Lucy lots of love too - she’ll also be grieving!

Hold your fur/feathered babies extra tight for me and give them all the love they deserve!

The cheekiest, chattiest, most entertaining little bird of mine passed away today, just a month shy of his 12th birthday/gotcha day.

We noticed he had slowed down in the last few days. He was very sleepy, very cuddly, less chatty and overall, just “different”. I hoped this wouldn’t be the outcome but it is 💔

I just wanted to share this with you all and thank you for loving him as much as me. I am absolutely heartbroken. Lucy has been sat by his side so I have no doubt that she knows what’s happened.

11 years of memories that I will treasure forever. Rest in Peace, my sweet sweet Charlie.

I can only imagine what these two would be whispering about… if they could talk!

Hi all! I’m sorry for the lack of posts - life just gets so busy. I figured it’s been a while since you’ve seen Charlie but he’s still here, still cute as ever and being the best little sidekick. He’s turning 12 this year so he’s quite the old man these days. He can’t fly for long without getting tired and he doesn’t talk as much as he used to. Every so often, he shares a few of his favourite sounds like in this video but that’s all I get!

I think most comments are from people who don’t know of Charlie and Lucy but surprisingly, most look positive 👏🏼❤️
