It was Penny’s 9th birthday on 3/14!! We celebrated by getting some yummy treats from !

Penny had her follow up appointment on Friday regarding her IVDD diagnosis. The doctor is very happy with Pen’s progress. She is able to hold her weight up now. We will now keep a close eye on her to control her jumping etc. Thank you for all your kind words and amazing tips! 🩵

Pen update: She is doing a little better on her legs when she goes potty. She hates being confined and wants to play haha. But she’s being so good. We have a follow up appointment on Friday 3/14 and we will know more then. Thanks for all your kind words and thoughts!

Our sweet Pen has been diagnosed with IVDD. This is a first for us so we are adjusting and doing everything right for her. Luckily we’ve made so many friends on here that have been through this unfortunate situation, that I feel confident and positive about her. Any words of advice are appreciated.

She is on crate rest for 2 weeks along with pain and inflammation medication. We will go back in 2 weeks to see how she is doing 🩵

Our hearts are absolutely destroyed. Our friend has crossed rainbow bridge 🌈 these are pictures from the very first time I met Lilo and her amazing mom April. Dare I say I was a little starstruck lol. When I first started Instagram with the dogs over 10 years ago, Lilo was one of our first friends. She reminded me so much of Daisy with her sassy chocolate attitude. On this day they played ball together which was their favorite thing. I wish I could see them playing ball together now when Lilo arrived. Probably nipping each other for the ball and bossing all the other dogs around where’s there’s no cancer or ivdd.

Hearing of Lilo’s passing had me hurting the past couple weeks because her and Daisy were so alike it was like I lost a piece of Daisy all over again.

To April, you are truly amazing. Lilo lived such an amazing life because of you two. The care and love you gave her is an inspiration to everyone. I promise this gets easier and hurts less at some point.

This is such a sad loss in our community. Lilo we will miss you so much. Thank you for always making everyone smile everyday and for being our SoCal Wienerfest princess 👑 love you Lilo 💜
