A lot of pet animals in Singapore suffer unnecessarily because of ignorance on part of their owners. Many people buy pets on impulse and do not fully appreciate the responsibilities of keeping an animal at home. The problem is particularly acute for rabbits because people wrongly assume that they are low-maintenance starter pets. HRSS was established by a group of concerned volunteers in April 200

2 to address this problem. We are also a certified educator for the American House Rabbit Society. HRSS runs a fostering programme to rescue and re-home abandoned rabbits. Every rescued rabbit is spayed or neutered, receives individual care including toys, medical care, healthy food and treats, and lots of love while they await for their permanent home.

Hoppy TGIF !

Let’s celebrate the adoption of our first bunny from our Car-names Rescue .

Sweet boy Yaris has found his loving home and a bunny companion. Casie was looking for a new friend to match with their bunny girl after the loss of their boy bunny. We recommended Yaris to them and after a video call to understand more about him from his fosterfamily, he went over for a bonding trial stay before the National Day weekend .

The 2 sweeties bonded in less than 2 weeks time and our first car is off the market. 🥰

“Losing our sweet and charming boy, Milo, was heart-wrenching for the whole family. He was such a big part of our lives, and the emptiness he left behind was overwhelming. I can only imagine the sadness Emma felt though she appeared to be coping and staying strong.

We asked ourselves - does Emma need a new companion? Could we handle another heartbreak someday? Milo is truly irreplaceable.

Still, I reached out to HRSS to inquire about adoption, and that’s how we found Yaris - now known as Lilo. He turned out to be the best gift we could have asked for. Lilo is a sweet and gentle giant - never fussy, always enthusiastic about his food, and with impeccable toilet manners!

Amazingly, within just a week, Emma and Lilo bonded. Despite her sassy personality, Emma showed her soft side. In the past, it was always Milo who groomed Emma, so we were surprised to see Emma grooming Lilo so often, while Lilo would nudge her for more kisses! 🥰

Every morning, they binky with joy when the lights come on - because that means breakfast!

We feel so blessed to have chosen adoption and to have found Lilo. He hasn’t replaced Milo - no one ever could - but he has brought joy and healing into our home.”

HRSS will be going to Nee Soon Pets Fiesta

Place: MPC @ Khatib (Opp Khatib MRT Station)

Our vollies will be there with our merchandise booth, stocked up with various rabbit themed items for humans and our furkids.

There will also be 2 groups of adoptable rabbits at this event from 11-1PM & 3-6PM.

The adoptables have gone camping at Wigglewoods, and you're invited to visit them now 'til the end of August. From 18 to 31 August, 4 adoptable rabbits will be staying full-time at the Bunny Campus. Over the weekend of 23 and 24 August, another 4 will be joining the adoption drive - so that’s a total of 8 bunnies looking for their forever home! It’s also a great chance to meet the HRSS team and learn more about rabbit care, fostering and adoption.

Wigglewoods Bunny Campus is Singapore’s only licensed playpen rabbit boarding facility. Bunny owners are welcome to explore the new campus during this special event and take part in fun promotions, with chances to win vouchers for your next stay, enjoy free grooming sessions, receive discounts on retail products, or pick up some forage herb giveaways.

HRSS will be going to Good Pet Fair (Kampong Edition) 2025

Place: 100Plus Promenade, National Stadium
