Early yesterday morning my beloved Jack (Jack Russell Terrier) passed in his sleep. If any of you know me personally, you know how much I loved this little dog. He was smart, funny, an actor but most of all he was my constant companion. In 2003 when I first moved here I adopted Jack from a shelter in Chester County PA that had about 30 dogs running around. Jack was the runt of the litter and spent the first 9 months of his life on this farm. No one wanted him, but I did. Jack was my partner in crime and my shop dog greeter. I am brokenhearted over the unexpected loss of my dear friend. In honor of Jack, and for the people that have animals that they can't afford or care for ultimately giving them up for financial reason, I'd like to do a "Raise the Bar Challenge" for Animal Outreach of Cape May County. This organization helps so many animals and does it all through volunteers. As you know I did a Raise the Bar Challenge on my birthday in January and raise $105 for Family Promise of Cape May County. My goal was 500 bars - we sold 150. I was overwhelmed and thrilled with the response. By purchasing one bar at $7 we will be giving 70cents to the shelter. I hope you'll help me send Jack off in the style that he so deserved. He was my little man and I can't even tell you how much I miss that little guy but if I can help and make a difference in a small way to this great organization, I think Jack would give his paw of approval.
