This is the first time in six months that Valiente and Gala have groomed each other. Their relationship has gone through change and challenge, as they worked out herd dynamics and personal boundariesBut now, the energy in the herd has settled.

When horses groom one another, they’re not just showing affection, they’re helping to regulate each other’s vagus nervous system, calming their bodies and creating a shared sense of safety. Watching this reminds us how natural and healing touch can be for both horses and humans. Horses remind us that nurturing one another through touch is a language of care and safety❤️

Who says a donkey can’t do liberty? Benito clearly didn’t get that memo. Watching Chulita, Valiente, and Gala at Liberty must have inspired him, because now he’s joining right in!! He’s offering companion walking at the highest level. It’s as if he’s been quietly studying all along, learning through observation!!

I always thought of Chulita as my star liberty horse, but it turns out my real celebrity might just be my mini donkey. Benito reminds us never to underestimate these little ones. He’s gonna be making mini donkey liberty history!

As the season changes and we enter fall, I can feel the energy shifting and I’m so excited for what’s coming. It’s taken time for me and the horses to truly settle, and it reminds me how important patience is during times of change. When we give things space to unfold without rushing, everything begins to flow naturally. I feel that flow right now, everything I need for myself and the horses is arriving at the perfect time.
The universe keeps teaching me to surrender. To trust, to let go, to practice what I wrote about in my book. This season, that practice is paying off. Life is moving without resistance, without me forcing it. I’m doing my work every day, trusting that the rest will come when the time is right. I’m full of creativity, inspiration, and gratitude; ready to welcome all the beautiful things this new season will bring.

Tonight is so beautiful here at the barn with the herd! I just love the way the light is hitting Valiente and Chulita! ❤️ we are soaking up these warm days and sun before it starts to get chilly!!

The Harvest super moon is October 6-7 and will be the first of three super moons of 2025! After some research I learned that this full moon is in Arie’s. The Aries’ energy makes this full moon an empowering moment to stand up for your needs, prioritize your own desires, and dig deep into whatever truths have been revealing themselves to you as of late!! So beautiful! This photo was taken last night and I’m so excited to see it in full! 🤍🌝
