Meet Porter 🐾💙

Porter is a beautiful 1-year-old, 75 lb male shepherd who was surrendered to us earlier this year through no fault of his own. He didn’t get much training early on, but what he did get is a big heart ❤️, a happy personality, and a love for life.

This friendly, joyful boy is looking for a training buddy 🎓—someone excited to help him learn the basics, channel his energy ⚡, and show him how to relax when it’s not playtime. Porter absolutely loves other dogs 🐶 and would do great with a canine friend, but he’d also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only.

Porter is smart, eager, and full of potential 🌟. With structure, consistency, and plenty of exercise, he’s going to be an incredible companion. He’d thrive with an active family 🏃‍♀️🌲 who enjoys walks, adventures, and working together as a team.

Meet Kraken!

Kraken is a 6-month-old bundle of goofy joy who has been in foster care since he was just 5 weeks old and honestly, we can’t figure out why he’s still waiting for his forever home. With his cutest face and big, soft, floppy ears, he wins hearts everywhere he goes. 💙

Kraken is fully vetted and ready to start his next chapter. He’s crate trained and still polishing his potty training skills, but he’s making great progress every day.

This boy is a social butterfly! 🐶
• LOVES playing with other dogs of all sizes
• Obsessed with toys and chewing
• Very food motivated, making him a great candidate for continued training

At about 40 lbs at 6 months old, Kraken will likely grow into a large dog, complete with an even bigger personality. He’s goofy, affectionate, and loves everyone he meets! He’s the kind of dog who will keep you laughing and smiling nonstop. 😁

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Pancakes & Puppies event. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better day! Seeing so many families, pups, and smiling faces made it incredibly special.

Meet Butterfinger and her adorable kittens – Hershey and Heath! 😻🍫 Butterfinger has been an amazing mom, keeping her babies safe until they were rescued and brought to OFR. Now, they're all ready to find their forever homes! 🏠

Butterfinger is super friendly and confident, always greeting you at the door. ❤️ She's a total lap cat, perfect for movie nights or cozy evenings by the fireplace. 🔥 The kittens are just as sweet and playful, each with their own unique charm. 🥰🐱

Ideally, they would love to be adopted as a mom/kitten or kitten sibling duo– but it's not required. 🤍 All are good with other cats and should do well with respectful dogs after proper introductions. 🐶

💛 Han Solo has megaesophagus and a liver shunt and is awaiting a specialist appointment to determine next steps.

✅ Likely medium–large when grown (best guess 45–55 lbs, but hard to know for sure!)
