Put the snow blade on the UTV today and serviced the tractor (with front loader) in anticipation of the winter snow. My prediction is we will have more snowfall this winter as we did the last few years. Tomorrow I plan to get 5 round bales of hay delivered so my equines stay happy through the cold months. Once all that is done, I will be happy and ready for whatever comes!

I am officially retired from seeing clients and working with individuals with behavior issues with their pets. 30+ years and thousands of clients was my contribution to our human-animal bond.

As I continue to be able to do so, I am lecturing and teaching trainers internationally. My black lab, Bailey, and I are working with the physical therapist at Akron Children’s Hospital as part of the Doggie Brigade! We are thrilled to be a part of this amazing team!

My gratitude to my clients, colleagues and friends through my career is immense. When I tragically lost my wife almost 2 years ago, I had to reevaluate my life and what I could do alone. And I think I have it down to what I can do from here forward. It’s been a great ride through life and I hope I passed on some of the wisdom I embraced.

Still seeing new clients in home. Practicing all CDC suggestions (face masks, social distancing, washing hands) to keep everyone as safe as possible. Interactions with dog(s) is highly unlikely to be a vector. Wishing everyone as healthy a situation as possible. Stay tough and we will make it to the vaccine once its available.

COVID19 and my government's ineffective response has devastated my business as well as many other animal trainers and international speakers. Because a portion of the population here following the poor examples being set by some of our top politicians, many US citizens are dying, and many self employed contractors are going out of business. I am NOT going to stop doing the thing I love - working with animals and their people, but I am trying to adapt. So far, although its a struggle, I am surviving. Hopefully with a new governmental administration and a couple of hopeful vaccines coming up in 2021, some of the things I do in life will continue. Please keep a positive attitude, sometimes its all we have to go on.

We are in Florida getting ready for the Veterinary Meeting and Expo (VMX) 2020! Five days of continuing education. I like the behavior and exotic animal tracks. Lots of new information to learn. After that, we will visit animal trainer friends at theme parks.

Heading to the Veterinary Meeting and Expo (VMX) in Orlando in a couple of weeks. This is a great CE opportunity as they have a behavior track that is pretty good. Mare and I have been attending this venue since 1991 and find it a super way to get the latest information in the veterinary field. And the Florida weather in January is often much better than in NE Ohio!

My wife and I are in Maine to celebrate the wedding of our niece to a great guy. While here, we are getting our animal/nature fix with some beautiful Fall colors with the trees. We are also planning some whale, seal and puffin watching.
