We cannot believe this sweet little guy is still looking for his forever home! Roadie is a 4-month-old juvenile bearded dragon with the absolute BEST personality of all the reptiles in the house. 💚

He loves being handled, begs to come out, and—as you’ll see in the video—he doesn’t even want to let go once it’s time to go back in his tank. This little guy is all about people and attention.

Roadie would make an incredible first reptile or even a great kids’ dragon because of how social and interactive he is. 🦎💫

How is he still with us?! Someone out there is missing out on their new best friend.

✅ Proper enclosure requirements apply

If you think Roadie might be the one for you, send us a message today—he’s ready to claim his person! 💌

How We Determine an Animal’s Future at Eclectic Exotics

When an animal comes into our care, we carefully evaluate their health, temperament, and species before deciding the best path forward. Our priority is always the animal’s long-term well-being.

🔹 Adoption Candidates
Animals that are healthy, thriving after their quarantine period, and suitable for private ownership are made available for adoption. These animals are ready to transition into a permanent, loving home.

🔹 Sanctuary Residents
Some animals arrive with chronic health conditions or other long-term needs that make adoption unrealistic. These individuals remain with us as permanent sanctuary residents, receiving the ongoing care and support they require.

🔹 Educational Ambassadors
We maintain a diverse group of species for our educational outreach programs. Animals with steady temperaments and appropriate dispositions may become part of our ambassador team, helping us teach the community about proper exotic animal care and responsible ownership.

Each animal is assessed individually, and every decision we make is grounded in ensuring they receive the safest, healthiest, and most appropriate future possible.

💚 If you’d like to support our mission, consider adopting, donating, or sharing our work with others. Together, we can give these unique animals the futures they deserve.

🚨 A quick but important reminder from Eclectic Exotics 🚨

When we share our enclosure requirements for an animal, those requirements are non-negotiable. They’re not suggestions, and they’re not something we’ll “bend” on.

We often get people trying to convince us that a smaller setup will be “just fine.” The truth is—it’s not. These animals deserve the proper space, lighting, and environment to thrive, and we will not place them in anything less.

Until the correct, safe, and healthy enclosure is waiting for them, our animals are not leaving our care. Period.

Our mission is to set every animal up for success in their forever home—not just to get them adopted quickly. Thank you to everyone who understands and supports why we do what we do. 💚

Thank you for coming to our tank talk!

Here’s the REAL Professor Ember!

When daddy (Alex) is away and mommy (Kayla) has nothing but opening shifts all the bearded dragon lights have to come on 3 hours early. Ember did NOT appreciate me giving her veggies at 5am, her lights turned on at 3 am.
Remember to always let your lights be on for at least 2 hours before feeding! That way they have time to begin absorbing the UVB from their lights!

🌟 Adoptable Animals 🌟

We have several amazing animals looking for their forever homes! (Photos below labeled by name in the caption) Please read through carefully and reach out if you’re seriously interested. Each animal has specific enclosure requirements, and we will require proof of setup before adoption. 🏡💚

🐭 Ace & Spade (PENDING ADOPTION)– Bonded pair of 2-year-old neutered male sugar gliders. Ace is sweet as pie, and Spade is still learning to trust. They must stay together. Can come with their cage for additional fee.

🐉 Frogger – 3-year-old male bearded dragon. Super active, loves adventures outside his tank, and smashes his veggies like a true little vegan. 🥦

🐉 RoadRunner (Roadie) – 4-month-old unsexed juvenile bearded dragon. Loves being handled, glass surfs to beg for attention, and would be a wonderful pet for kids. 💛

🦎 Izzie – 1-year-old female crested gecko. Taming down nicely and does well with handling now.

🦎 Kronk – 5–6-year-old male crested gecko. Gorgeous phantom red, doesn’t mind being handled. Available after quarantine ends on 9/11.

🦎 Charmander – 5–6-year-old male crested gecko. Handleable but a little skittish. Will be available after 9/11.

🦎 Pongo – 5–6-year-old male crested gecko. Not suitable for kids; more of a “look, don’t touch” pet. May bite sometimes. Available after 9/11.

⚠️ Serious inquiries only please.
If you’re interested, send us a PM! These animals deserve committed forever homes. 💕

💬 Let’s talk about adoption inquiries & ghosting.

We absolutely love when people reach out about adopting—after all, finding the right forever homes is why we do what we do! ❤️ But what’s been happening a lot lately is people inquiring, getting information, and then disappearing without a word.

We want to be clear: it’s totally okay if you change your mind or decide adoption isn’t right for you. But please let us know. 🙏

Here’s why ⬇️
When multiple people inquire about the same animal, we try to be fair. We give everyone a chance to apply instead of letting it turn into a “first come, first serve” situation. That means while we’re waiting for an answer, others who are ready to apply right away may also be waiting.

Meanwhile, ghosting wastes time that we could be using where it matters most:
🐍 Feeding & caring for the animals
🦎 Handling & enrichment
🧹 Cleaning enclosures
💻 Advertising adoptables
📚 Creating educational content for you all
👩‍💼 Balancing our full-time jobs

So please, if you inquire about an animal and decide not to move forward, just send a quick message letting us know. It’s respectful of our time, fair to other adopters, and most importantly—it helps the animals find their homes faster. 💚

Thank you for understanding and for supporting Eclectic Exotics Rescue & Rehab!

🌟 Adoption Special! 🌟
Izzie the crested gecko is still waiting for her forever home! 🦎💚
She has had a lot of interest but no filled out applications and it's making her a little sad 🥺

✨ Lowered adoption fee from now until our adoption event on Sept 27th!

She’s about 1 year old, rocking her cute little frog butt 🐸🍑, and getting better with handling every day.

✅ Eating Pangea (variety of flavors)
✅ Also enjoys dusted crickets, dubias, & mealworms 2x a week 🪲🐛
✅ Must show proof of proper 18x18x24 enclosure 🏡
