This is one of the best days of the year because it's National Kitten Day!!! 💗 There are lots of ways to celebrate: spend extra time cuddling 😻 and playing with your own kitten, visit or volunteer at a shelter to play with kittens, or watch funny kitten videos. The best idea, though, is to adopt a kitten or two! 🐾

We all know July can get really hot! 🔥 All living creatures require access to clean water, especially during the summer. ☀️ Make sure you provide fresh water and plenty of it to your pets. Place bowls and fountains around your home. Take your pet directly to water as soon as you return from a walk, 💦 or better yet, for trips and anytime you're on the go, take along a bottle and travel bowl. They even make two-in-one bottles that have built-in bowls for convenience! 🐾

They know running water is safer than stagnant, which can harbor harmful bacteria. Many indoor cats do not get enough fluid, so it's essential to feed them some canned food per day, or ensure they are getting water from another source, such as a fountain. Cats prefer water to be away from food, as food can get into the water if they are next to each other. It's best to place several fountains or bowls around the home so they have options. You might find your cat playing in running water just because it's fun!
