It's getting hot, and your chickens need a drink at least as often as you do.

In hot weather, each chicken will drink up to a quart of water a day. But since they can only drink a little at a time, the water needs to be easily accessible for frequent drinks.

Don't depend on them "tanking up" once they head back to the coop at night. If you're free-ranging, add a waterer outside.
