Do you remember Clever? Our three-legged cat. He was adopted, but sadly he just wasn’t happy 😔 One day he escaped and made his way all the way back to his old home 🥰 And now… he looks truly happy 🥰

If you see him in Playa del Cura, please be kind to him. He may be deaf, but he’s doing amazingly well where he is. He knows how to avoid cars, he knows his way around, and he really loves his life outside. Some cats aren’t meant to be house pets — their hearts belong to the freedom of the outdoors. And Clever is one of them 🥰

💛 A Very Special Thank You to Giulia Casoli 💛

It’s hard to put into words just how much Giulia has done for our Playa del Cura cats — and how much she will be missed. 🐾

From the very first day she joined us, Giulia gave not only her time, but her whole heart. She knew every cat by name, understood their personalities, and loved them as if they were her own. And they loved her right back — running to greet her, curling up beside her, and trusting her completely.

Her kindness and generosity changed so many lives. Giulia saved countless cats, brought food and care to our colonies every single day, and never turned away when one needed help — even if it meant changing her plans or staying out late to catch a sick or injured cat. She balanced all of this while being a devoted mum to her amazing young daughter, who is already following in her footsteps with the same compassion and love for animals. 🥹💛

Because of Giulia, our colonies are safer, healthier, and happier. She has been a friend not just to the cats, but to all of us — always ready with a smile, always ready to help.

Giulia, we will miss you more than words can say. We hope you’ll visit often, because Playa del Cura will always be your second home — and the cats (and all of us) will be waiting for you.

🐾 A huge THANK YOU to .catsouls.united for the donation of 7 flea pipettes 🐾

This is incredibly valuable to us — flea treatments are very expensive in shops, and sadly vets won’t prescribe them without seeing the cat first. But how can we bring in 100+ stray cats every month just for that? 🤯 It’s impossible.

Thanks to your kindness, some of our most vulnerable cats will finally get relief 🥺💛

Also, we’ve been offered a really good price if we want to buy more in the future — so we’ll be running a little fundraiser soon to help cover the cost. Every euro helps us keep the colony cats healthy and itch-free! 🐱✨

En nuestra colonia hay gatos que han conocido solo el abandono. Viven entre sombras, sobreviven como pueden… y a veces, mueren sin que nadie los haya acariciado jamás.

Necesitamos héroes anónimos.
Cada día, decenas de gatos en nuestra colonia luchan por sobrevivir entre el frío y el abandono. Ellos no piden mucho, solo un poco de comida y alguien que los mire con cariño.
Nos faltan manos, corazones y tiempo para cuidarlos.
Si sientes que puedes ayudar aunque sea un poquito, *te necesitamos como voluntario* para darles de comer y hacerles la vida un poco más amable.

This is his last night.*
We rescued him today. He was alone, wounded, abandoned… with carcinoma that leaves no other path but peace.
He doesn’t have a name, but he has a story. He’s afraid, he’s in pain… and yet, he still has dignity. Tonight, he will sleep without cold, without hunger, without fear. And tomorrow, with our hearts in pieces, we’ll say goodbye.
He’s leaving without ever knowing daily affection, a full bowl, a home.
Only the street, indifference, and silence.
But tonight, someone sees him.
And we want you to see him too.
This is the reality for so many cats living on the streets. Invisible. Voiceless.
And this is what we try to change—one rescue, one gesture, one broken soul at a time.
Do something. Even something small.
Adopt. Neuter. Help. Share. Don’t look away.
Because every life matters. Even the ones no one ever stopped to notice.

Este gato, que hasta hoy ha vivido en la calle sin molestar a nadie, ha sido diagnosticado con un carcinoma avanzado. Hoy lo hemos capturado para evitarle más sufrimiento. Mañana será su despedida.

No tuvo nombre. No tuvo cama, ni caricias constantes. Solo tuvo el frío, el sol, el hambre, el miedo y alguna mirada amable de quienes sí ven.

Esta es la realidad silenciosa de miles de gatos callejeros: enferman sin que nadie lo note, mueren sin que nadie lo lamente.

Pero a ti, pequeño, hoy te vemos. Hoy te damos dignidad, calor, y una despedida sin dolor.

Que esta imagen remueva conciencias. Que quienes aún miran hacia otro lado entiendan que la calle no es hogar para nadie.
