Today marks 1 full year without my Meaty. I miss my sweet boy every day. 💕

Today my sweet boy gained his wings. He quickly declined over the last 2 days & had lost all use of his back legs. This morning I asked if he was ready & he let me know he was. So we had a peanut butter party before taking him in.

I'll love you forever, my Meaty. Thank you for being the best boy & my best friend. ❤️

Meaty update - the stitches are out, he's cleared to walk stairs & is good as new! 🥰 His leg has healed beautifully & he hasn't been trying to mess with it at all since the surgery. He has to feel so much better with that nasty growth gone! He's even jogged & played a few times the last couple days. The only thing unusual about him is he isn't eating much, but he's still taking out a ton of meds, so I'm sure that's why. He'll finish those in the next few days & I'm sure he'll be back to himself completely.

Someone is bandage-free for the first time in a few weeks!! Stitches come out Friday. He is healing so well!!

The vet said he could lose the cone as long as he doesn't mess with his leg. I whipped that thing off so fast when we got home!

They said his incision looks good & he may be rid of the bandages in a few days.

Meaty made it through surgery today! ❤ Now he is a conehead for the next 1.5 - 2 weeks to allow the stitches to heal. He hates the cone & is a little out of sorts getting around with it. But he's on the road to recovery & his huge, stinky knee is gone.

Took Meaty in for more pre-surgical testing this morning. They're concerned about his liver & kidneys & how he will tolerate anesthesia of there are bad underlying issues. But, surgery is still scheduled for Monday, so far. 🤞 This stinky extra knee has got to go!

They also changed his bandages & put him in a new one that happens to be green & yellow. 💚💛🙂

Meaty is scheduled for surgery to remove the growth on his leg next week. It has progressively gotten worse over the past week. He is pretty uncomfortable & having some trouble walking most of the time. But he is so patient & tolerant when I change the dressings on his leg. He's the best boy. Happy healing thoughts for my boy would be appreciated. ❤

In honor of national doggie day, Meaty decided to spend some of my money at the emergency vet. A large growth on his back leg started to bleed. Waiting to see whats next now.
