Does your saddle fit your horse?
This photo shows the wither tracings of 6 Marsh Tackies ranging in age from 5 to 23. They go from narrow to extra wide. The 2 widest (5 & 6) are half siblings, ages 13 and 14. The 3rd widest is a half nephew to 5 & 6, age 6 in September.
The narrowest (2), age 23, is a half aunt to the widest. The 2nd narrowest is a half uncle to the 2 widest which makes him a great half uncle to the 3rd widest.
Number 3 is the youngest, age 5, and is related to the 23 yr old, the narrowest, as well as the 13 yr old, the widest.
This example doesn't show the variances in rock which is how the center of the saddle tree must curve to prevent bridging between the front and rear points of the tree.
The saddle that fits one may fit others, but it will not fit all. Does your saddle fit your horse?
