The Lakeside Spay and Neuter Center, AC (located in Ajijic / Chapala) was started in 2001 when there was an imperative need to help the many abandoned and abused dogs in our area. Through the efforts of many in the Lakeside community, our Ranch (a no-kill shelter) became a haven for some of the most at need Lakeside dogs. We have spayed and neutered thousands of dogs, nursed sick and starving dogs back to health, found forever homes for many of our animals, and loved and cared for the ones who didn't find homes. This could only have been accomplished by our cadre of dedicated volunteers.
