🧡🐾 Happy Retirement, K9 Athena 🐾🧡

An IronHeart alumna, Athena was paired with Sgt. Platt in 2018 and served the University of Tennessee with unwavering devotion and tireless dedication.

After hundreds of searches and seven years of hard work, she now hangs up her badge for a “Retired K9” collar and will enjoy a well-earned retirement with Sgt. Platt and family.

Thank you, Athena, for your loyalty and hard work. We are so proud of you, and you’ll always be part of the IronHeart family!

K9 Easy recently graduated from IronHeart Training Center in explosives detection and is now proudly serving alongside handler Mitch Wiese. The duo is making a big impact in the Sioux Falls area, ensuring public safety at large events—and even made the Dakota news for their outstanding work!

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Wiese family on the loss of their beloved K9 Felix, another remarkable IronHeart alum. Felix's legacy undoubtedly lives on through K9 Easy and Mitch, a team that's carrying forward his dedication and spirit.

Keep up the amazing work, K9 Easy and Mitch—Felix would be proud!🐾❤️

After South Dakota's second-ever bomb dog passed away not too long ago, his replacement is on the job and working to keep people safe.

💣Explosives Detection K9 handler Micah Woods & K9 Shima recently graduated from the IronHeart Training Center. This K9 team works to keep the University of Tennessee campus and sporting venues safe. Shima is a Belgian Malinois imported from Columbia, South America. She is at no loss for intensity!! The team certified through the North American Police Work Dog Association.
Fans of the Volunteers can definitely feel safe with teams like this working their events! Go Vols! 🎉

📢This miniature Aussie named Maverick astounded the entire staff at IronHeart with his eagerness to learn and ability to absorb very advanced obedience training in only a two-week board and train program. 🎉 All of the advanced obedience exercises we use to train our police dogs were performed by this little mighty mite. Maverick earned Valedictorian honors by finishing in the top of his class. 🎓His owner was very pleased with the results of this training!

The University of Iowa boasts the pride of Iowa with Explosives Detector Dog, Judge, and his handler, Jerrad Mohling. Judge is a Yellow Labrador that always searches with the highest intensity. This team was originally trained by the IronHeart Training Center and certified through the North American Police Work Dog Association. This team can cover a lot of ground fast.
