The sorrow cannot be masked, a truly great stallion has passed too soon! Watermark Big Red was a truly special boy who was deeply loved by those that new him! Having just started his journey into the breeding arena and producing two spectacular colts this season, these young boys have very big boots to fill!

My deepest heart felt condolences to Tonia and Annie from Bayview gypsy cobs! No words can ever convey the depth of sorrow you must be feeling or offer any solice in his passing!

With a broken heart i share with you the terrible loss of our beautiful perfect young stallion Watermark Big Red. He passed away with assistance yesterday due to complications from colic. It was not a decision i ever saw myself having to make. We are mourning his loss here and the only comfort i have is his two colts born this season. He has a legacy .. my gorgeous Red 💔

So excited to see this foal!

Now that we’ve finally finished holding our breath for 45 days, we’ve confirmed our final pregnancy for the coming season. 🤍

It’s been a tough season, but this pregnancy demanded more time, faith, and dedication than all the others combined.

And above all — the unwavering commitment of Dr Stacy McGregor at Seven Creeks Equine, who was not only collecting and inseminating for us on New Year’s Eve, but was also flushing and implanting while the town of Longwood was in the middle of a crisis. Her dedication is truly above and beyond.

This pregnancy is a special one - Watermark Poppet is sired by the late Clononeen Double Tumble — a stallion I’ve long admired — and was orphaned from early on, hand-reared at WatermarkGypsyCobs.

To have been entrusted with such a special mare at the beginning of her breeding career is a privilege, and we are incredibly thankful to Gina for the opportunity.

Seeing this pregnancy confirmed makes the season’s challenges worthwhile. It takes a village — and ours is exceptional 💪

We can not wait to welcome recipient mare Sybil home and love on her like the lucky charm she is 🫶
