I know it's been a long time since I've posted...almost a year! That's because I've been doing great, healthy & relaxed, at the Rainbow Bridge. Mommy & are doing well, too, so I've had to step in less & less frequently. I'm always watching, though, & always caring. Not a day goes by that I don't check in with Mommy & I can feel her loving thoughts all the time. I'm posting today because it's National Black Dog Day. The purpose of today is to draw awareness to the beauty of black dogs since they're most often overlooked for adoption in shelters. People choose lighter-colored dogs to black dogs, putting black pups at the highest risk for euthanasia. In fact, when Mommy got me, I was priced less than my siblings because of "Black Dog Syndrome," which happens because people perceive black dogs to be "scary" or hard to read because of our dark hair. The truth, though, is that I was the least scary creature there ever could be. I was predictable & Mommy read me like a book! Looking back, Mommy probably would've paid DOUBLE for me! This photo features my BFF (Brandy, on right) & me (on left), 2 lovely black dogs! The next time you're looking to add a furry member to your family, remember that black beauties rock!
