Our Story
Hi my name is Ryenne. I am the founder and owner of Sit, Play, Love, Pet Sitting LLC. I am a Belton, Mo native who has relocated back to the area after 15 years as a Marine wife. I have always been an animal lover, caring for everything from my very first pet fish, multiple hamsters, and two rabbits to my sweet kitty, Shorty and crazy dog, Tucker. However, it was during our duty station in California that I discovered that caring for animals was my passion. In addition to watching other military families’ pets, I accepted a kennel attendant position with the Morongo Basin Humane Society where I enjoyed my time there helping shelter pets stay happy, healthy and clean.
Eventually, the time came to relocate, and I found myself starting over again in Jacksonville, Florida. While in Florida, I decided to further my knowledge in order to help more animals, and I obtained my Associate Degree in Veterinary Science. I worked for several animal hospitals as a vet tech, but found my calling as a professional pet sitter working part time for a local pet sitting business. I worked as an independent contractor for three years before my husband’s retirement from the Marine Corps in 2016.
As much as I loved my job and the clients in my care, we made the decision to be closer to family and moved back to the city that we love the most. While settling into life in K.C., I took up a part time position with a small boarding and doggie daycare down town where I learned a lot about dog behavior and how to be a pack leader. I truly believe all these experiences have led me to start my own pet sitting business, and I look forward to using my knowledge to be the kind of professional pet sitter you and your pet-family deserves.
