Seeking a loving home for one of our patients, Latimer! He is four years old and 75 pounds full of love❤️ Due to unforeseen circumstances, Latimer's current family is unable to continue the care that he needs for his skin/immune system to heal. His current owners would love to find a home where Latimer can continue in Dr. Sheppard's care! Some of his skin challenges are displayed in these photos.
We asked Latimer's owners to provide us with a write up that can help explain his personality. Here it is:
A wonderfully gentle, playful dog who loves all people, big and small (actually, especially small - he adores kids!). He is exceptionally friendly and likes all dogs, but he isn't sure about cats (he can be redirected but he's very curious). He has completed obedience training and knows many commands. He walks well on - and off-leash and very much enjoys the car! But, his favorite place is right next to his people. We have 5 children (ages 0-8) and he is like their nanny dog. He watches over them, naps with them, and seeks out faces to lick whenever possible!
Latimer is the absolute best dog. We are trusting that there is a family who can love him and care for him like he deserves.
