Nala's New Life Rescue A 501(c)3 nonprofit in Palm City, FL animal rescue. WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTERS AND MONETARY DONATIONS!

Nala was a life long companion and friend whose brave fight against bone cancer inspired me to re-name my rescue in honor of her. Nala's New Life Rescue has been saving dogs for years who have no other hope. We have a true "no kill policy" and save dogs who need rescued regardless of age, breed or health issues. We specialize in saving unwanted dogs (and cats) from kill shelters all over Florida w

ho otherwise would be euthanized or gassed, Nala's New Life Rescue pays to pull the dogs to safety, cover all medical and transportation expenses and provides a safe foster home or boarding facility until a foster or forever home is approved. All of our animals have a full veterinary examination, vaccinations and are spayed or neutered. We care for them until they are emotionally and or physically healed or a home becomes available. Nala’s New Life Rescue has saved and placed over 150 dogs in new homes in 2016. Nala's New Life Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

🆘 Help Carson Heal — Save His Sight
At Nala’s New Life Rescue, we believe every dog deserves comfort, care, and a chance at a happy life. Carson, our sweet 7-year-old gentleman, has been waiting patiently for a forever home—and winning hearts along the way. He’s a volunteer favorite, gentle and soulful, with eyes that speak volumes.

But today, Carson needs your help.

💔 Carson has been diagnosed with a painful indolent ulcer in his left eye. These ulcers don’t heal easily. Despite antibiotics, they can worsen quickly—causing infection, intense discomfort, and even loss of vision.

👩‍⚕️ Dr. Carmen Colitz, a leading veterinary ophthalmologist, has recommended a rigorous treatment plan to stimulate healing, prevent infection, and ease Carson’s pain. He’ll need:

A protective cone 24/7

Leash walks only

3 antibiotics + 2 pain meds, multiple times daily

This is a tough road, and we’re already stretched thin from recent fundraisers. But Carson deserves this chance. His comfort matters. His sight matters.

Once in a while we rescue a dog that we cannot understand why we cannot even find a foster for the dog. This is the case for our sweet Brittany. She is pictured here with our volunteer Sawyer who has been coming to our ranch for years. Brittany has been in a foster home during the winter for 4 months with one of our volunteers who is a snowbird so when she goes back up north Brittany has to come back to the kennel. Brittany is 7 years old, she is low maintenance, loves car rides and is quiet, perfectly housebroken and a loving companion. All she needs is a couch. She was rescued from Okeechobee Animal Control when her owner went into assisted living. So she is used to being an only dog as she has been her entire life. Nala's is offering to pay for her food and vet bills just to get Brittany into a foster home. Please share her story.

Congratulations to little Okley on her adoption! This sweet little girl made herself at home at Nala's ranch after being rescued from Okeechobee Animal Control. She was very shy but with love and patience started coming out of her shell, We are thrilled that she was adopted so quickly after being transported to our partner Darbster in NH. We hope Okley has many happy days with her new family.

Congratulations to Dexter on his adoption! This cute boy was rescued by Nala's from the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast and now has found his forever home. Many thanks to Sue, Chris and their dog Bridget for welcoming Dexter into their home. They live on a farm so Dexter has room to run and play and he is very happy with his new doggie friend. Dexter was a favorite of everyone at Nala's ranch and we wish him and his family years of happiness.

Bingo for fur babies yesterday was a lot of fun. Thank you all for coming, and Thank you to our wonderful volunteers, post 10132 and the amazing Holly Altman, independant director for Pampered Chef . They all look very quiet on the photos, but trust me, it did not last long.. lots of laughter, so much that this admin even forgot to take more photos!

Congratulations to Jessie on his adoption! This wonderful little boy spent time at Nala's ranch while waiting for transport after being rescued from Okeechobee Animal Control by Nala's. He is a lovable guy who we knew would be adopted right away as everyone fell in love with him. We are so happy he found his forever home right away at our partner in NH, Darbster and we continue to appreciate how many dogs they take from Nala's, it is truly an amazing partnership. Congratulations to Lucy on her adoption! This wonderful girl is a favorite of everyone at Nala's ranch. She was originally rescued by Nala's years ago, adopted by a family and then, this year, she was returned due to a family medical situation. All Lucy has ever wanted to do is be with kids, the more kids the better! She is a gentle, lovable companion who is in her glory just being with children. Thankfully, Sam and her husband and children came along and have been fostering Lucy. We were thrilled to finalize her adoption and so happy for this special girl who has a perfect home complete with a cat and the 2 children she adores. We thank them for adopting Lucy and wish Lucy and her family many years of adventures and happiness. We love you Lucy!

Ruby’s Road to Recovery 💛🐾

We’re thrilled to share that Ruby, the brave mama dog rescued last week, is recovering beautifully after her emergency surgery at All Creatures Animal Hospital. Her strength and sweetness have touched everyone who’s met her—and thanks to your incredible support, she’s now on the path to a much brighter future.

Ruby came to us through the compassionate efforts of an animal control officer who goes above and beyond for the animals in her care. Her quiet heroism made it possible for Ruby and her puppies to get the help they needed, and we’re so grateful for her continued partnership.

Ruby’s surgery was a success, and she’s healing well. She’s still under veterinary care, but by the end of this week, she’ll be ready to transition into a foster home. Dogs recovering from major surgery do so much better in a calm, loving environment—and Ruby deserves nothing less.

She’s gentle, friendly, and good with other dogs. If you’ve ever considered fostering, this is a beautiful opportunity to help a truly special soul continue her healing journey.

Thank you again for the outpouring of love and donations. You made Ruby’s rescue possible, and we can’t wait to see her thrive.

Adoption Process and fees

When you first contact us to adopt a dog, you will be asked to fill out and submit an application on our website at nalasrescue.org/adoption-application

The application will be reviewed by the members of our adoption committee to ensure that the family will be able to match the dog or cat’s needs, and that we can move forward to a safe and happy adoption. The first thing we do after receiving an application is to check vet references (if available) and personal references (if there is no vet reference).

If the references check out, you will be contacted for a meet and greet with the dog or cat you applied for. Please come with an open mind. You might meet more dogs and cats, and who knows where the perfect connection will be?

If the meet and greet goes well, we then conduct a home visit with all your household members, humans and pets, and if the home visit goes well, we’ll be ready to finalize the adoption.
