Lost Paws Rescue of Texas http://www.lostpawsrescueoftexas.org/ "Helping animals find FOREVER homes, four paws at a time..." We are a foster-based rescue group. Thank you!

Our organization consists of a group of volunteers dedicated to animal welfare and education. All of our dogs and cats stay in loving foster homes until they are adopted.

• Lost Paws Rescue of Texas is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
• We are all volunteer – 100% of donations go to dog and cat rescue.
• As a no-kill rescue group, we operate solely on donations.
• If you would like to help by mak

• For 10+ years, Lost Paws Rescue of Texas has served the needs of the Dallas Fort Worth community. We hold weekly adoption events thanks to our great partnership with Dallas Fort Worth PetSmart locations: PetSmart Southlake and PetSmart Frisco in 2021. Our pets available for adoption consist of dogs and cats extracted from shelters, from breeder releases and owner surrenders. These elements make up about 42-60% of our adoption rates.

- Disaster Shelter Assistance
Our Disaster Shelter Assistance program allows us to work with animal shelters in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. We pull animals from their shelters before and during a time of natural disaster. This allows the disaster area animal shelters to have space to care for owned pets who have been temporarily displaced due to flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes or fires. This program accounts for about 3-4% of our adoption program. The majority of the cost involved is around paying for transport of the animals.

- Animal Shelter Rescue Assistance
Lost Paws Rescue of Texas responds to urgent requests to care for dogs trapped in abusive situations. We cooperate with other dog rescue operations in Texas when we are asked for assistance. Lost Paws Rescue of Texas Gives Medical Treatment to Rescued Dogs:
· Full Exams · Vaccinations · Neutering· Heartworm Testing and Treatment · Dentals Where Needed · Additional Treatments as Required.

- Sweet Seniors
We target to have 20-25% of our adoptees be at least 8 yrs old. This population struggles in shelters. They are often traumatized by the loud noises and chaos of the younger energy animals in kennels with them; or next to them. As a result, they do not come across with their best personality when potential adopters walk by and attempt to interact. We know that these sweet older souls make incredible loving and dedicated companions. And we have found there is a steady demand for older animals at our events. Although with the age comes more risk of health issues. The sweet senior animals tend to cost us a little more to bring up to healthy status so they can be adopted. But it’s well worth it.

- Moms and Pups
This is our newest program. We are expanding our ability to bring in pregnant female dogs with new pups who were taken to shelters. Lost Paws Rescue of Texas has built a new isolation center on our foster farm for whelping and weaning moms and pups. Our target is to grow our adoption rate by 40% by end of 2019. We know we can give this under-served population a fighting chance to have a great life. The costs of this program will raise our annual budget significantly. These females almost always face euthanasia if there is no one to foster them through the puppy birth and weaning stage. This is because shelters are not a conducive environment for puppy care. Local animal shelters – despite their best efforts – have obstacles due to diseases that come in daily from strays and surrenders who were not vaccinated; and have not received care. The stress to the mother – and the tiny immune systems of puppies – cannot fight back against disease in a typical animal shelter environment. They either they succumb to disease; or are euthanized.

- Adorably Imperfect
Have you seen the cats and dogs with a limp, or with one eye? Or maybe they are blind or deaf – or possibly they have a limb deformity? Maybe they have lost all their hair or have no teeth. We call those animals Adorably Imperfect. And we think they are meant for adoption. This class of animals is often overlooked by other rescues because bringing them to a healthy state is expensive. Also, it does take a while to find a right adopter fit. But overwhelmingly, we receive feedback that these animals are some of the best pets their owners have ever had. As long as funds continue to come in – we will seek these animals out at a shelter and find them a home. Adorably Imperfect dogs and cats make up about 4-5% of our adoptions.

• Please Help Us to Continue! For us to continue our level of care, your help is needed. If you would like to help by making a donation, please go to https://lostpawsrescueoftexas.org/lost-paws-rescue-of-texas-donate-and-help.

It's that time when puppies are coming in left and right and they need help! We need help!

In order for us to take care of these mommas and babies, we need to keep the areas clean and disinfected. Parvasol and bleach are desperately needed to help us keep them safe. We also need incontinence bed pads (THESE ARE SO HELPFUL FOR US), laundry detergent and food for their care.

We are very low on food and we'd love to have a "BLEACH-athon or PARVASOL-athon, "laundry detergent-athon" to help these babies.

Please see the Amazon List below and select Yvette Garza as the delivery address.

Thank you so much for helping us. We are covered up in puppies right now who need our help.

We would like to say a special thank you to Heather and Piper for stopping by our adoption event last weekend. Piper was adopted from us 14 years ago. She had stopped by to donate some of Piper’s clothes, toys and a crate. Heather always remembers to say hello and offer support. We are grateful for our friends and alumni!

Good morning friends. Help us congratulate all these new families on their fur babies!

Aubrey says Happy Holidays. He would love to find his furever home soon. He’s approximately 15 weeks old and 18 pounds. He’s been the best boy in his foster home. He’s doing very well with the foster siblings in the home as he loves to play!

Please send an email to [email protected] if you’d like additional information on Aubrey.

Happy Holidays and a Joyous New Year from Lost Paws Rescue of Texas!

As we close the chapter on 2024, we reflect with full hearts on the incredible difference your support has made in the lives of the dogs we’ve rescued. Your compassion has turned despair into hope and brought countless wagging tails to loving homes.

2024: A Year of Milestones
Thanks to you, here’s what we’ve achieved this year:

🐾 279 Dogs Found Their Forever Homes
One of those success stories is Dillon, a senior dog with big obstacles to overcome. Blind in one eye, deaf, and with years of hardship behind him, Dillon had almost given up on finding love—until his perfect family appeared. Today, Dillon spends his days basking in the sun on their porch, enjoying belly rubs, and sleeping soundly, knowing he’s finally home. Stories like Dillon’s are why we do what we do.

🐾 $72,000+ in Lifesaving Medical Care
With your help, we’ve provided over $72,000 worth of medical care to dogs like Dillon and so many others:

29 Heartworm-Positive Dogs received lifesaving treatment.
16 Dogs Needed Critical Surgeries like dental care, amputations, and eye removals, each a vital step toward giving them a second chance.

🐾 $55,000 to Provide Daily Care and Food
Every day, Lost Paws feeds and cares for over 40 dogs waiting for their forever homes, costing approximately $150+ daily. Your donations ensure they are well-fed, safe, and loved while we find them families who will cherish them forever.

🐾 Community Outreach and Events
This year, hundreds of families met their future furry companions at our PetSmart adoption events. It’s moments like these—seeing kids cuddle their new pup or seniors find their loyal companion—that bring our mission to life.

Looking Ahead to 2025
We are eager to make 2025 our most impactful year yet. From increased adoption events to new programs that provide advanced medical care, we have big plans—and we need your partnership to make them a reality.

We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Expedia Cruises Frisco and Scott Siegel (Scott Siegel (Click for Email) 469-269-0430)! This collaboration allows supporters like you to book dream vacations while saving lives. A portion of every cruise* booked by Scott Siegel will directly support Lost Paws Rescue of Texas. Make a difference while planning your next adventure!

The Challenges We Face

The rising costs of medical care, food, and shelter underscore how vital your generosity is to our mission. Your support fuels our ability to rescue dogs like Dillon and care for those who may otherwise be overlooked due to their age or medical conditions.
Lost Paws Rescue of Texas is a 501c3 non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible.

Donations can be made on our website at www.lostpawsrescueoftexas.org

Thank You for an Incredible 2024
None of this would have been possible without our donors, adopters, and volunteers. Together, we’ve given countless dogs their happy ending. Let’s make 2025 even better—saving more lives, writing more success stories, and celebrating more forever homes.
From all of us at Lost Paws Rescue of Texas—thank you for standing by us and the dogs we serve.

Wishing you and your family a warm holiday season and a bright, beautiful New Year!

Happy faces everywhere!
Congratulations to these new families.

Don’t forget we have a fundraiser to help pay medical bills. These adorable baskets are only $25 and they include treats, toys and more! You can make a donation online at our website www.lostpawsrescueoftexas.org and make arrangements to pick up your basket or they’ll be available on Saturday at our adoption event at Petsmart in Southlake and Frisco (Preston Road.). We would greatly appreciate your donation at this time to help pay some medical bills.

Thank you!🐶
