Today I received the heartbreaking news of the passing of my mentor, Monty Roberts.
Monty was one of the people who shaped my understanding of horses from a very young age. His wisdom, compassion, and quiet way of communicating with horses transformed not only the lives of countless horses, but also the hearts and minds of the people who loved them.
His teachings became the foundation of so much of my own journey, allowing me to help horses with greater patience, empathy, and understanding. For that, I will be forever grateful.
While the equestrian world has lost a true legend, his legacy will continue to live on through every gentle hand, every horse given a second chance, and every person who chooses kindness over force.
Thank you for everything you gave to the world, Monty. Your influence will never be forgotten.
