We couldâve gone the easy routeâbut we didnât.
Most pet sunscreens on the market use chemical actives. Theyâre cheap, widely available, and honestly, easier to formulate with. But once we learned how harmful those ingredients can beâespecially if lickedâ we knew that wasnât the right call.
So we spent months researching safer options. Zinc oxide? Common, but risky if ingested. Thatâs how we landed on titanium dioxide: a mineral UV filter thatâs effective and considered pet-safe.
We also added antioxidants and conditioning agents to nourish the skin, because SPF shouldnât come at the cost of comfort.
