The B-RAT PACK wants to thank everyone for supporting our March 6th-8th trials and making it so much fun! Thank you to our Judge, Jane McLaughlin, for being so encouraging, putting up with the ridiculous antics of a certain B-RAT PACK member, and for somehow spending 3 long days on your feet in the cold judging each dog with interest, humour and fairly.

Thank you to our back up judge Cynthia Sandison who not only spelled Jane off (so that Jane didn’t starve to death), but also volunteered and donated prizes! We are looking forward to seeing you again soon when you judge our April trials 😊

Photography by Tina Sawicki took incredible professional photographs of the whole event and generously offered a free photograph to anyone who earned a title, AND donated a free photo shoot and a gift certificate. Your professionalism, incredible work, and generosity are unmatched we can’t wait to have you back in April!

What can I say to truly thank all our volunteers? The sport cannot run without volunteers. We all love the fun of competing and this is a sport that requires MANY volunteers for long hours and long days – you are so appreciated for pitching in.

To those that cooked – we may all curse you after getting on the scale this morning but boy was it delicious! Thank you Lorraine Norris, Shannin Beal, Julia Cavataio and Leah Goddard for the absolutely delicious feast all weekend!

To our Trial Secretary Lorraine Norris – what don’t you do? You cook, you organize, you coordinate donations, you do all the paperwork, results, reporting to BHA, set up – please know how appreciated you are.

Ian Talbot does all the set up of rings, picking up straw, take down, clean up – he stays behind the scenes yet our trials could not function without him.

Thank you again to the Kibble Project – Gladys & Elvis Stojko – who generously donated the raffle gifts and treats for all competitors and to Iverstone Equestrian Park for the use of your incredible facility.

This may be a long post – but the truth is it is SO MUCH work to host/run a trial and it can’t be done by a few club members so we truly wanted to take the time to thank everyone for their support of our club we hope you enjoyed the weekend and fun with your dogs.
Remember – our April trial opens this FRIDAY MARCH 13th at 8:00 pm!!!

Twas the night before trials when all through the barn, the rings weren’t yet ready and Lisa was shouting “Darn” …
The rats were are nestled in their clean cosy beds, as visions of dogs earning ribbons ran through their heads…

Ian and I are hard at work burning the midnight oil and have a couple hours left to do tonight so if we seem to be in a stupor tomorrow … lol

Prepping the volunteer gifts for the trial - thank you to everyone that responded offering to help. I’ll be finalizing the schedule and roles and Lorraine will be sending out an email shortly. For each day you are an assigned volunteer you get a free lunch and get put into the daily volunteer gift draws. The response was so generous I won’t be able to utilitize everyone but don’t forget there’s another trial in April and we will need help again thank you!!
