Cold weather hints at the link below. If you see or hear animals suffering in the cold - call authorities, especially domestic animals. Just because dogs and cats have fur coats, that doesn't mean they have all they need to stay warm and alive. Be safe!

Barney is home. We miss him so much.

With a heavy heart we share that Barney, a complicated boy who came into our rescue in 2011 from Burns Flat, lost his battle to autoimmune disease. Because he wasn't a purebred Collie, he was never adopted over the years, so he became ours by default - and we won the lottery. He learned to love and trust us, and was so patient with other dogs that came in and out of rescue. It was incredibly difficult to let him go, because his mind was still sharp, but his body was completely failing him on multiple levels after 6 years of treatment. He was the bestest boy, and we miss him so much. 😢💕🐾🌈

Snoopy was adopted by Charlie Brown 75 years ago today. Snoopy had been bought and returned, making him a "used dog". We think all dogs are special and deserve love, just like Snoopy.

Find your own Snoopy at your local animal shelter. We have 15 dogs and puppies to choose from too. Every shelter and rescue across the nation is FULL of great dogs!!!

We are open Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm! Go to the glass door that says ANIMAL WELFARE at 1710 S Main St, Stillwater OK.

Message from Owner: We just moved into this neighborhood and he doesn't know the area at all yet. We are so so worried for him, he's 9 years old and has vet appointments soon! Please help us find our boy! He loves food and responds well to his name. He is michrochipped and has a collar with his name and our phone number on it.

We had to leave Oklahoma in 2013 due to a job transfer, but we're still working from 1500 miles away to help save our beloved breeds. Thank goodness for the internet! We couldn't do it without it, or without all the wonderful volunteers and fellow rescuers we've been working with since August 1999.

Remember, sidewalks and concrete are exceptionally hot for your dog's foot pads, cars can reach 150+ degrees, and shade and lots of water are a must for any time spent outside. Imagine going outside wearing a fur coat today. That's how miserable your pets will be in this heat, so please keep them inside and check water levels throughout the day as the go out to potty. Stay safe! 🐾💕
