Triple had another great day in Rally. He won first place in two of his runs and a 4th place. He also won both of the top ribbons, earning a 299 out of 300 for the High Triple Score and a perfect 200 for the High Combined Score.

Awesome got a 1st place fastest 100 in a Master run and tied for High Triple Score in her ring but lost the time tie breaker.

Savvy also had a good weekend. I'll make a future post for her as she has earned several new titles recently that I haven't announced yet, including her Rally Master 3 title today. But I need to take some pics of her with her ribbons 🏅 That will have to be later though as I have to get ready for Rally Nationals this week with the dalmatians Triple, Savvy, and Sequel and my Awesome Doberman. After that, it's back to training my client dogs and my dogs get a break from competing for awhile.

Triple had a good day in Rally at OKC Summer Classic as he got back in the swing of things to prepare for Rally Nationals next week. This is only his 2nd time to trial this year as I've been focusing on Awesome and Savvy. Out of his 3 runs, he placed First twice and won the High Combined Score award. I completely missed the award ceremony so he had to take a pic in the RV with his prize ribbon that mom almost didn't pick up 🙄

We will be busy training and competing in Rally Obedience as we prepare for the upcoming Rally Nationals where I have 4 dogs competing. Here are some of our recent show results as we get back into the swing of things. I'll be accepting board & train dogs starting July 10th after I'm finished focusing on my pups 🐶 😀

Working on some heeling drills with Diesel the . He's getting pretty good at letting me navigate and following me now whereas before, he really wanted to be the driver. Still a few mistakes on his downstays when I walk behind him as he likes to pop into a sit to watch me but with more practice, he'll get it. I had just reposted his ears before this training session so you'll see him shake his head a few times in protest of his blue horns. He's definitely not a fan of ear posting but not many are.

Diesel the had his first field trip out to with me to Lowes. He wasn't perfect but he was pretty darn good for his first time. He didn't want any of my treats so hopefully that changes in the future while in public. But he was excited and willing to cooperate with me versus ignoring me to sniff things or trying to visit other people. He's really starting to get the picture of how to be a teamplayer. He's got the best smile and wiggly butt tailwag too

Diesel's first session with the Treat &Train machine. This tool is so helpful for lots of skills but it is fantastic for teaching patience and impulse control.

Dog training isn't magic and it's not flashy...it's lots of patience, a strong motivator, and often a gazillion boring reps. I don't usually show videos of dogs learning a challenging behavior because it is boring to watch. Case in point this video, lol.

Diesel the is not a fan of entering the crate on his own, specifically the plastic crate. But by the end of this video (and I cut out 10 min of more mindnumbing reps), he finally did it not once, but TWICE. This was a major accomplishment for him and it will make it so much easier for me to get him crated without a struggle.
