PHILLY is a 3 year old, 58 lb boy who is here to remind you that this is the whole point. Saving lives by rescuing and adopting, volunteering, fostering, and helping with your local animal shelters. He arrived positive for Heartworm and without the help of Stark County Dog Warden, he would be in rough shape by now. He is being treated, but would love to recover in a loving, quiet home. He will need his second month's injections soon which the pound will assist with. Thanks to the pound, he is finally receiving the care he's needed all along.
But Philly is still searching for a family to love and care for him. He is fun loving, happy, and so sweet. He enjoys his walks and being outside rolling in the grass. He hopes that someone special sees this video and comes so he never has to suffer or be alone again. 💖
Every dog comes with donated, free training sessions with local trainers: Cosmic K9 (2 sessions) and Hoperidge RTA (1 session). Adopters should research post-adoption decompression and the rule of 3s: 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine and 3 months to start to feel at home..
The Shelter Pet Studio is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run by volunteers, independent from the shelters we assist. SPS writes bios based on our experience with a pet and are not making guarantees. We are not involved in adoption processes. To inquire, contact Stark County Sheriff’s Office - Dog Warden Division at 1801 Mahoning Road NE, Canton, OH 44705 or call (330) 451-2343.
